Glen & Ruth Moore are checking us out to night. They own a C4 Convertible and were at the Hincz & Friends car show yesterday. SECRETARY S REPORT No Board meeting, No Report. I did get a phone call from John Neufeld. He saw the car show advertised in the Racine Journal Times article 100 days of Summer events. They still had it listed as 8/24/03. I sent an e-mail to the JT notifying them of our date change and asked that future publications please reflect August 10 th, 2003 as our show date. The same place and time. I attached a flyer. TREASURER S REPORT Approved as read. The car show flyers and T-shirts have been paid for. The insurance for the car show has not yet been set. There are no other outstanding bills at this time. QUARTERMASTER S REPORT Tom still has shirts for sale. Dick asked if we could get our own items embroidered. Tom said he will check into this. He is also looking at other companies to do our embroidery work. If you want any jackets, hats, or shirts offered in the catalog, contact Tom Andrekus no later than the October meeting. There is a reduced price with a minimum of 10 items on an order.

ADVERTISING REPORT Bruce was not present. We did discuss a budget for car show ads. See the Car Show Report. OLD BUSINESS The Means Flag Day Run Great weather, good time and 11 cars on the run. A little wet on the lake for some of us. There was a full boat for a tour around the lake and supper at Laurin s Landing. Those that stuck it out saw a beautiful full moon around 9:50PM. Bloomington/Nashville Warm Up Party Thanks much to Patti & Walt Powell for hosting this event. Plenty of food and beverages. Lots of candles to keep the bugs away, but everyone had a good time. Patti wanted to extend her thanks for all the help with the clean up. She said she has never had such a clean place the day after a party. Nashville/Bowling Green Didn t matter whether you left Wednesday or Thursday, the drive down was wet. The Walther s say their 80 is still wet. The Caravan crew did say it stopped raining for the hour and half it took to go around the Indy track. The Bloomington mayor evidentially made no points during her speech trying to promote the city. She mentioned thriving Bloomington and hopefully bringing back the Bloomington Gold event. Then went on to say that the approx. 200 people in the audience must have driven their Mitsubishi s today. This brought a round of BOO s. There were no police escorts out of the State Farm Center or the city. It was the most unorganized part of the road tour. The Indy track and city was well organized. We met a couple that caravanned from Idaho at the pool. I didn t catch all of the pooh talk. Or was that pool talk about a pooh bear?? I ll have to check with Kim and Fred. Bloomington Gold/St. Charles Tom and Lori stayed at the Pheasant Run and would suggest anyone going next year may like to try it. There are 3 swimming pools and easy access to the show grounds. The use this year of wristbands made it easy to walk around the grounds a while and then go for a dip & return the grounds. The price is well worth the convenience in their mind. There were vendors in the gravel, the same as last year. The only noticeable thing not there was the Dyno machine. That was at Bowling Green. Hincz & Friends 2 nd Annual Show It was a bright and sunny day. Making the temperature very hot for the 70-80 cars in attendance. The food was great. Some of the cars took a ride to Georgie Porgie s before the evening was over. Liberty Fest Parade Twin Lakes THANKS MIKE for making all the last minute arrangements!! This was a very nice 45 minute candy throwing parade. The parade committee kindly put us near the front of the parade-behind the Fire Engines and Police Cars. (really nice to have the Cops in front of us -- ). The committee realized last year that the cars needed to be through quickly. No marching bands in front of them. They also have a Labor Day Parade. Mike Means will be getting more information for us about this. Taz s car show Last month on one of the run s Lori had been asked by the owner of Taz s if our club would be interested in a car show. At this time both Lori and the owner think it would be better to plan now for a show next year. It is too hard to organize something quickly and have a good result. We ll be on the look out for this next year. NEW BUSINESS JULY 13 th Bristle Progress Days Parade The progress day Committee will have a roped off area on concrete for us to display our cars after the parade. This would only be for about an hour. Tom and Lori have offered there home for a meeting place before the parade & eating and to get ready for the fireworks. The main roads are shut down at 11:00 AM. So get to their house before then or come in the back way call Tom for directions or look at the website message from Dick. July 19 th Walther Picnic and CAR SHOW Board Meeting The fun starts at 4:00 PM. The board meeting will be held at 4:05 (?) to discuss the Car Show. We need your input and your help for the show. Sue & Tom are providing the food. Andy and Melissa will be the DJ s. Bring a dish if you wish. Sue says anything exotic is your responsibility. She has the cookies, meat, and potato salad as well as beer, wine, soda & water. Plenty of parking and lots of space for yard games if you want to bring them.

July 29 th Kenosha Mammoth s Corvettes on the field The local minor league baseball team is trying to do anything they can to promote their team and get people come watch them. In Dick s search for information, he found the e-mail sent to him had an incorrect date. This event was held JUNE 29 th, as other members had thought. Evidentially, the same e- mail was not sent to everyone. OH WELL, maybe we can try next year. Aug 3 rd Elkhorn Dick asked if anyone knew the date for the Elkhorn Show. He found out!!! E-mail Newsletter??!! A discussion was held trying to look at the good and the bad of the first 6 months of newsletters via E-mail instead of snail mail (U.S. mail). Without knowing the exact issues, neither Kraig nor the Webmaster can help out the people with problems. The offer was made when the switch to e- mail/internet newsletters was voted on. We also discussed what the price should be for those members that do not have or don t wish to use e-mail for newsletters. We discussed a monthly price of between $1.00 & $2.00. No vote was taken at this time. 2 Dealer Awards, 1 President s Choice, 1 Participants Choice 1 People s Choice. There will be a $250 budget for Bruce Andrekus to advertise in local & Northern Illinois papers. This will be in addition to any advertising Hartnell does. Voting ballots will be handed out to those OVER 16 years of age. Kim said there are 9 pre-registrations in. The 2 nd mailing will go out within a couple weeks. Kim has also received confirmation from Pro-Team that their donation of 150 Goodie Bags will arrive on her doorstep any day now. The Stuffing Party will be 8/9/03 at 3:30 PM at the Kenosha County Center. The real party will begin after the stuffing, when we go out for supper. Car Show set up will begin at 7:00 AM on 8/10/03. Breakfast will be in Paddock Lake at 6:00am. Tom Walther made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kim 2 nd it. Only opposed our usual vote from Sue. The meeting was adjourned. Dick will put out a questionnaire to get more input from those not at the meeting. Please be sure to complete and return this survey as the information will be used by the board to determine the method of communication in the future. 2003 SEWCC CAR SHOW Kraig didn t want to spend too much time tonight. Hopefully there will be more people at the July 19 th Party/Board Meeting to discus particulars. At this time he listed the committee chairpersons and those that have volunteered to help. There is only the Bradford Cheerleaders signed up for food. If anyone else has ideas or a non profit group interested Contact Kraig. Fred Taylor is looking for more items for the silent auction. If you have something, let him know. Tom Andrekus wanted confirmation what type of special awards to order. It was decided:
