The Senators captured game two of the series 12-4, highlighted by three home runs in the first three innings. This is the third series of the season between the two clubs and final time the Baysox come to Harrisburg during the regular season. The season series is tied at four wins each. The two teams do not play again this season until a three game series August 8 to August 10 in Bowie. LARGEST MARGIN OF VICTORY The 12-4 game two win for the Senators was their largest margin of victory this season, surpassing their previous high of seven runs set on April 18 at Hartford. It s the third time this season the Senators have won by five runs or more. The Senators also tied a season-high by hitting three home runs in a game. ROSTER ADDITIONS The Senators added four players to the roster prior to Tuesday night s game. Starting pitcher Taylor Hill was added from Triple-A Syracuse, while reliever Andrew Robinson, pitcher Derek Eitel and catcher Nick Rickles were added from extended spring training. Robinson, Rickles and Hill all enter their second season with the Senators, with Robinson and Rickles part of 2016 club and Hill part of the 2013 campaign. Eitel is in his first season in the Nationals organization. As corresponding moves, Mark Blackmar and Jake Johansen were released by the Nationals, and Phillips Valdez was placed on the disabled list. LONGEST NINE-INNING GAME Tuesday s series opener lasted three hours and 20 minutes, the longest nine-inning game the Senators have played this season. 15 of the 18 innings played featured at least one baserunner, and 10 innings had at least two baserunners. WESTERN EXPANSION The Senators are in the midst of a stretch where they play 19 of their next 22 games against Eastern League Western Division teams. The only Eastern Division team they play during this stretch is New Hampshire May 30 to June 1. UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY In game one of Sunday s doubleheader, Stephen Perez started in centerfield for the first time in his 536 game minor league career, and it marked just the sixth time he s ever played in the outfield. Similarly, Neftali Soto made just his second start and third appearance overall at second base in 1001 career minor league games. TODAY S STARTING PITCHERS Derek Eitel takes the hill in the rubber match Wednesday morning. The right-hander is making his 2017 debut and Nationals organizational debut. Eitel is in his eighth season in professional baseball, and has started just one game since 2013. The 29-year-old was originally drafted by Arizona in the 17th round of the 2010 draft out of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Baysox counter with starter Tanner Scott. The left-hander starts his third game of the season against the Senators, and has limited them to just one hit over six shutout innings. He has allowed just three runs over seven starts 21 innings this season. 2017 AT A GLANCE Record: vs. Bowie Current Streak: Long Winning Streak: Long Losing Streak: Home Record: Road Record: Daytime Record: Night Record: 2017 Best Mark: 2017 Worst Mark: First Half: Second Half: April May June July August September vs. Eastern Division: vs. Western Division: vs. AL: vs. NL: Leading After 6 inn: Tied After 6 inn: Trailing After 6 inn: Leading After 7 inn: Tied After 7 inn: Trailing After 7 inn: Leading After 8 inn: Tied After 8 inn: Trailing After 8 inn: Senators Score First: Opp. Scores First: One-Run Games: Two-Run Games: Extra Innings: Doubleheaders: Shutouts: Sens HR in a Game: vs. RH Starter: vs. LH Starter: Series Record: Scoring 3 or Less: Scoring 4 or More: Allowing 3 or Less: Allowing 4 or More: Players Used: 16-21 4-4 W1 3 5 10-11 6-10 5-5 11-16 7-5 15-21 16-21 10-11 6-10 10-11 6-10 7-10 9-11 14-3 2-0 0-18 14-3 1-1 1-17 14-0 1-1 0-18 12-6 4-15 3-7 5-4 1-0 2-2 1-4 12-6 8-15 8-6 3-5 3-15 13-6 9-3 7-18 34
