The Senators won their second in a row over Hartford with their 2-1 win Friday night, with three Senators pitchers limiting the Yard Goats to two hits. The Senators and Yard Goats play their third series of the season and second at FNB field. The Senators are 6-2 against Hartford on the season, including taking two of three in Hartford in the last series the two clubs played April 17 to April 20. OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE! After finishing 2-3 in game two of the series, Osvaldo Abreu is now hitting.375 over his past five games. Since April 28, Abreu has raised his average from.158 to.222, and has recorded at least a hit in five of his past seven games. THREE IS A MAGIC NUMBER The Senator s 2-1 win Friday night was just their third win when they score three runs or less, bringing their record to 3-11 in those contest. On the other hand they are 9-3 when they plate at least four runs. SCHEDULE CHECK-IN The Senators return home for their second seven game homestand of the season. After the current homestand, the team will play 11 of its next 14 games on the road, with its only home series a three-game set against Bowie May The Senators are 7-6 at FNB field and 4-8 on the road through just over a month of play this season. ZACH ATTACK Zach Collier has recorded at least one base hit in eight of the eleven games he s started, including four of his last five starts. The Chino Hills, California native Is this season with two home runs, including a two-run blast on Tuesday that gave the Senators a 6-5 edge in the seventh inning. Collier s other home run came against Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman who was pitching for Bowie on a rehab assignment on April 22. STEVENSON PROMOTED Outfielder Andrew Stevenson was promoted to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday and Isaac Ballou was added to the Senators roster. Stevenson was hitting.350 this season, the eighth highest mark in the Eastern League and his 28 hits are tied for third most in the league. He is currently ranked as the fifth best prospect in the Nationals organization according to Baseball America. Ballou joins the team from extended spring training after spending parts of the last two seasons with the Senators. TONIGHT STARTING PITCHERS The Senators send starter Erick Fedde to the bump in game three of the series. Fedde is 1-3 with a 3.45 ERA in five starts this season, including one against Hartford. The right-hander took the loss in Hartford on April 20 despite tossing seven innings of one run ball and striking out eight. Fedde will be opposed by Yard Goats right-hander Ryan Castellani. The former second round pick is 1-0 with three runs allowed over ten innings in two starts against the Senators this season.
