Tryout Packet 2018-2019 Thank you for your interest in the Poms team at Legend High School. There will be a Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman Poms/Dance team at Legend High School for the 2018-2019 school year. The team will be responsible for performing at home football games, basketball games, volleyball games and selected home wrestling matches, as well as pep assemblies and selected community events. The team will also be expected to participate in select dance competitions representing Legend High School. The mission of the Legend Poms program is to: provide dancers with a successful and meaningful educational experience while promoting school spirit and involvement, teamwork, high academic achievement, team loyalty, self-discipline, commitment, dedication, strong work ethic, and respect. Working as a team, rather than an individual, will foster the lifelong values and skills needed to become a better person, and a contributing member of our society. Legend Poms aims to represent Legend to the highest degree through supporting our athletic programs, participating in community events and service projects, and by competing at regional, state, and national levels. The success of this team is due to a strong commitment from the athletes, coaches, and parents. If you have any questions prior to the informational parent/dancer meeting please do not hesitate to email us at poms.legend@gmail.com.
