GENERAL EXHIBITOR RULES All animals brought for exhibition are at the owner s risk. The Show Board will not be held responsible for injuries incurred by animals, diseases contracted by animals, or injuries or damages inflicted on a third party by said animals and in no event will be held liable for the death of an animal. Any animal showing evidence of sore mouth, foot rot, contagious fungal infection, ring worm, PED virus or any unsightly conditions will be asked to leave immediately. 1. This show is open to any youth who meets the minimum age requirements of their breed association, 4-H club, or FFA Chapter, but is not yet 21 years of age by January 1, 2017 with the exception of regional show exhibitors and their breed association age eligibility. 2. Agents, leaders and instructors may make all entries for their counties, clubs, or chapters. 3. No refunds of any kind will be made. 4. Any checks returned NSF will be charged a $25 handling fee. A money order or cash will be mandatory for payment of a NSF check. 5. Exhibitors must keep pens in show condition to qualify for awards. 6. Exhibitors must provide their own feeding and watering equipment. 7. Exhibitors must supply your own shavings or straw. 8. Stall cards (one per pen/exhibitor) should be in place for emergency contact. 9. All exhibitors must have a responsible advisor, leader, parent or guardian on the fairgrounds. 10. Superintendent has the authority to change, combine or cancel classes to fit the entries. 11. All checks will be mailed to the address on the entry form and must be cashed within 90 days. 12. Insurance coverage for exhibitors registered at the show is in force only on the grounds. 13. The Show Board shall select a committee for the specific purpose of supervising and enforcing rules and regulations as outlined in this booklet. Any problems not settled by those responsible will be brought before the rules enforcement committee whose action will be final. 14. The show Committee reserves the right to decide any points not already covered by listed rules. Decisions made are final. 15. No Garbage in the waste bedding; pop cans, twine, etc. 16. Pease clean the bedding out of your pens before you leave the show. 17. Camping spots are first come first serve. 18. Showmanship is mandatory for all exhibitors! 19. Pens are first come first serve. 20. No tack pens allowed. 21. Pee Wees can enter animals in conformation except in Beef. 22. All animals entered are subject to be used in the judging contest. 23. T-Shirts for non-exhibitors are $10.00. 24. We will not be responsible for suppling placings to organizations or clubs for their point systems. 25. If paying any fees at the show we will accept only cash or debit/credit cards. NO CHECKS 4

BEEF DIVISION 1. STEERS WILL BE SHOWN BY WEIGHT. 2. ALL HEIFERS 4-12 MONTHS OF AGE MUST BE BANGS VACCINATED. 3. ALL OUT OF STATE CATTLE MUST HAVE A HEALTH CERTIFICATE & IMPORT PERMIT. CALL ANIMAL HEALTH 503-986-4680 FOR PERMIT NUMBER. 4. ALL ANIMALS WILL BE SHOWN USING THE AMERICAN SYSTEM. 5. BRING YOUR OWN STRAW OR SHAVINGS TO BED YOUR STALLS. PROSPECT STEER SHOW Entry Fee: $30.00 per steer Weights: 700 lb. minimum Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Prospect Steers HEIFER SHOW 1. This is an All Breeds Show with breeds competing together. 2. Breeding heifers will be divided into classes according to age. 3. Exhibitors will present registration papers or breeders certificate verifying date of birth for individual heifers upon acceptance to the show grounds. 4. No nursing calves No cows. Entry Fee: $30.00 per Heifer Classification: Senior Calf born September 1 2016 to December 31, 2016 Intermediate born May 1, 2016 to August 31, 2016 Junior born January 1, 2016 to April 30, 2016 Senior born September 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Heifer 5

An All-Breed Show will be held, with all breeds competing together by age.. 2. Horns are acceptable in the Doe Show Entry Fee: $30.00 per doe Classification: Junior Doe: born after 1-1-2017 Fall Doe: Born 9-1-16 to 12-31-16 Summer Doe: Born 6-1-16 to 8-1-16 Doe 1 year and under 2, never to have kidded Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Doe 8

SHOWMANSHIP 4-H & FFA SHOWMANSHIP 1. Showmanship is mandatory for ALL exhibitors. 2. Contestants shall show their own animals. 3. Breed type and conformation will not be considered. All fitting shall be done prior to the contest. 4. 4-H & FFA will show together in showmanship. 5. If an exhibitor becomes champion showman in two animal areas, this exhibitor shall have the choice of animal area to enter in the all-around and the reserve champion will step up in the other animal area. 6. Champion exhibitors of the three 4-H & FFA aged divisions within each species will show all four species within their age group for all-around champion. 7. Contact your Superintendent immediately following winning your division to confirm your participation in the All Around Showmanship Contest. PEE WEE SHOWMANSHIP 1. Pee Wees must pay a $10.00 entry fee to receive a T-shirt and goody bag if they did not enter an animal in the show. 2. Pee Wees must show their own animals if they are entered in the show. 3. Pee Wees may only show in one species. 4. Pee wees must sign up for the contest by 11:30 AM Saturday. SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES AGE AS OF OCTOBER 1, 2016 Pee Wee Under 4-H Age Junior 8 to 11 years old Intermediate 12 to 14 years old Senior 15 to 18 years old all division champions & reserves Graduates- 19 to 21 years old No awards to graduate class & will not compete in all around Customized items will be presented to Champions in the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior All Around Divisions 9

JUDGING CONTEST Dani Annala, SUPERINTENDENT 1. Contest is open to all 4H and FFA members for individual contest. 2. The only teams that will be scored are FFA Chapter teams and 4-H Club teams. 3. Due to time limitations randomly formed teams will not be scored. 4. Teams are a minimum of three/ maximum of five members from a FFA chapter or 4-H Club. 5. All teams must be registered by Noon, Saturday in the office. Awards to Team Winners 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams will receive Plaques Awards to FFA Individuals: Appropriate certificates to top 5 scores Awards to 4-H Individuals: Appropriate certificates to top 5 Senior, Intermediate, and Junior individuals A Belt Buckle will be given to the member with the highest overall score 10

TEAM JUDGING REGISTRATION FORM A team consists of a minimum of three & maximum of five members from the Same FFA Chapter or 4-H Club Top three scores will be used as team score.
