Students appreciate her thoughtful input and help. STUDENT: Michael Hodgins NOMINATED BY: Ms. Leonetti, Mrs. Wexler & Ms. Walsh Michael showed concern for a fellow classmate. It was a night for the EHTHS history book this past Saturday at Golden Nugget as the vocal ensemble joined Kenny Rogers on stage. The ensemble backed Kenny for a number of songs and then took center stage to sing their version of Jingle Bells as the crowd and Kenny sat back and watched. Then the ensemble, Dr. Gruccio, Dr. Kadetsky, and myself sang "We Are the World" to the sold out crowd. There was a great EHT presence in the crowd and the experience the students received from rehearsal to backstage preparation to the meet and greet with Kenny was one that they will always remember. Mrs. Barnes invested so much in the outreach, preparation, and direction on stage all for the benefit of her students. Well done to Pam and a superior performance by our ensemble. Remember you can catch our choir and ensemble at their holiday festival Friday night at the auditorium. Click HERE to see the flyer for more information. This year's first English Department Poetry Night featured the National Poetry Out Loud Recitation Contest and an open mic. We are proud to announce that our 2018 POL winner is senior Malikah Stafford. Other contestants included Jaslynne Thompson, Amadi Miller, and Caesar Sanchez. Malikah will go on to represent our school in the Regional Competition at Appel Farm in February 2018. Pictured clockwise from left.; Cascidy Ford, Caesar Sanchez, Amandi Miller, and Tyler Valentino.

The Boys team have gone 3-0-1 so far this season and look to be contenders, once again, in the Tri-County Conference. Special recognition goes out to senior Stephen Masi who currently has the highest match game bowled this season (278 pins). The Boys' Basketball team held its first annual 3v3 basketball tip-off tournament this Wednesday and fun was had by everyone. Congratulations to the High School Division Champions: EHT Kings. 7th grader DJ Germann. 8th Graders Anthony Colon, David Pomales. Sophomore Isiah Walsh.

The season opens at home this Friday, December 15 against Mainland. 5:30 Varsity tip. Please come out and pack The Nest! GIRLS BASKETBALL The EHTHS Girls Basketball Team is pumped for the start of the 2017-2018 season. To prepare, the Freshmen, JV and Varsity team played successful scrimmages against Williamstown, Cumberland Regional and Southern Region High School. Tomorrow, we play Buena at 4PM in a Varsity only match-up. Our team is ready to have a winning season with the ultimate goal of making the Group 4 Play-offs. We welcome Coach Ashley Eckert as the new Freshmen Coach. The Lady Eagles have great leadership from Senior Captains Breeanna Stauss, Alyssa Reed and Junior Mackenzie Mahana. Liana Fiore returns for her senior year to showcase her sharpshooting, accompanied by her Varsity, returning teammates Mya Pomatto, Sierra Hegh and Symphony Pomales. We are excited to see the impact and development of this year s Freshmen class. These young athletes have already moved into the ranks of the JV/Varsity Team: Lauren Baxter, Michaela Pomatto, Madison Israel, Natasha Iqbal, Abby Harte, Sarah Wenzel and Yani Davis. Mark your calendars for our first home game on Wednesday, December 20 th against Pleasantville. Come out and support this defensive-minded group! THANK YOU!
