8/5/2018 International Civil Aviation Organization RASG-MID Steering Committee Sixth Meeting (RSC/6) (Cairo, Egypt, 25-27 June 2018) Agenda Item 3: Regional Performance Framework for Safety RASG-MID WORK PROGRAMME FOR 2018-2019 (Presented by the Secretariat) SUMMARY This paper presents an update on the Schedule of 2018 safety events; and an initial draft of the 2019 safety events organized under the RASG- MID Framework. Action by the meeting is at paragraph 3. 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 The Terms of Reference of the RASG-MID Steering Committee (RSC) stipulate that the RSC proposes the RASG-MID Work Programme on annual basis. 2. DISCUSSION 2.1 One of the main objectives of the RASG-MID is to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between all stakeholders. Accordingly, in order to avoid duplication of efforts and overlap of events, all stakeholders (States and Safety Partners) should ensure that their activities are coordinated through the RASG-MID. 2.2 The Schedule of 2018 safety events is at Appendix A. 2.3 An initial Draft of the Schedule of 2019 safety events is at Appendix B. 3. ACTION BY THE MEETING 3.1 The meeting is invited to: a) review and update, as appropriate, the Schedules of 2018 and 2019 safety events at Appendices A and B; and b) urge all stakeholders to ensure that their activities are coordinated through the RASG-MID and included in the Work Programme for 2019 in order to avoid duplication of efforts and overlap of events. ------------------
