The diving in Sharm El Sheikh area runs from Ras Mohammed at the top of Sinai peninsula and runs north ups the east coast to Tiran Reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba. This area benefits from the shelter of the land and conditions are usually calm to moderate, unlike the western coast of Sinai, which can get rough, as the winds blow down the length of the Gulf of Suez. Most of the diving is in the Ras Mohammed national parks do not touch the coral or feed the fish otherwise you may find yourselves with a ticket from the rangers. Where ever you dive around the Sinai you are in some excitement, fantastic coral and great diving. Videographer Service On our boats and at the centre you will find our underwater videographers. A videographer will join and film you and the other guests diving from the boats or film you while you are doing a course at the centre. At the end of the day we will have a video show with clips from both above and under water. Copies are available for sale. Check in for Diving Checking in at the centre on the first day is simple. The staff will help you with the check-in procedure, medical statement and if needed we can supply you with the requested equipment from The extensive range of branded gear. For diving tours, we will start with a check dive at the house reef or from one of our specialized dive boats, or for to short the time we can arrange for speedboat diving which only takes around 1½ hours. For those undertaking courses the training starts at the centre immediately after check-in. We provide free transfers to the centre from all the hotels and accommodation in the Sharm El Sheikh area.

Discover Scuba Diving Today do something for the first time; experience the thrill of scuba diving under the supervision of a PADI professional. You will master some of the basic concepts of diving in a training pool and then head off on an open water adventure at an inviting 'shallow' reef. Experience the feeling of weightlessness in a new environment and enjoy the vibrant colors and amazing variety of the Red Sea Riviera's marine life. You can choose morning or afternoon and all equipment and training is provided. Divers completing the DSD can continue their experience with an optional second open water dive. 2. Scuba Diver Course The PADI Scuba Diver program is an entry-level certification, which is perfect for people on holiday who plan to dive a couple of times a year. It can be completed in as little as two days! With this certification, you can dive with a PADI professional anywhere in the world to a max depth of 12m - a wonderful opportunity to explore your underwater kingdom in comfort and safety with an experienced guide accompanying you. The knowledge and skills you learn in this program are just the beginning of an exciting array of courses and programs that await you. What will l do? Throughout the course, you will learn a lot about scuba diving, including your diving equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing dive skill sessions, knowledge development sessions and by making two dives in the beautiful Red Sea Rivera. This is your chance to strap on some fins, slap on a mask and experience an amazing adventure over a couple of days!

3. Open Water Course This is the course you need before moving to further training. Armed with your Open Water Diver card, this certification is recognized at dive centers worldwide. The course is presented over 4 days and is made up of 5 theory and dive skill sessions and 4 dives in the Red Sea. 4. Scuba Review This includes a supervised skill session with your PADI Instructor who will help you tune up important diving skills such as buoyancy and breath control, equipment assembly and breathing from an alternative air source. You can then take a supervised open water dive to rediscover the beauty of the Red Sea. 5. Open Water Referral If you have already completed the confined water and academic sections of the PADI Open Water Diver course at home, you can complete your open water training on the inviting reefs of the Red Sea. In just 2 days you will gain full certification as an Open Water Diver. 6. Hurghada was the first dive centre on the Egyptian mainland to offer this course. You can complete these dives either separately or at different times; in different locations or all together over two days, accompanied by a Certified Assistant/Instructor. The dives must include the Deep Dive and Navigation Dive.

4 Rescue Diver This three-day course is a very important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as well as increase your confidence. As with all PADI courses, it is 'performance' based and involves knowledge development and five rescue-training sessions (in pool, confined or open water) plus four open water rescue scenarios. The psychology of rescue, preparation for emergencies, accident management, responding to diver emergencies, selfrescue, tired diver, panicked diver, response from shore or boat with both a responsive and unresponsive diver, distressed diver underwater, missing diver, surfacing the unresponsive diver, response at surface and exit, first aid for pressure related injuries and oxygen administration, scenarios involving distressed or unresponsive diver underwater and on the surface including exiting and first aid 5 Emergency First Response Emergency First Response gives you the skills you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you are a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response helps you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations. This comprehensive program contains two core modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections. This course is usually conducted over one day. 6 Oxygen Provider The Oxygen Provider course is designed to give students the necessary basic training to administer oxygen to victims of diving accidents. When combined with the Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response courses it provides the best preparation to react correctly to any diving related accident. 7 Master Scuba Diver The PADI Master Scuba Diver certification is the highest non-professional diver rating in the PADI program and shows superior achievement and experience. To reach this level you must complete all levels of diver training including Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response and 5 PADI Specialty courses. Dive Career Courses A scuba diving career can break you out of a 9-to-5 job or provide you with enjoyable part-time employment in this exciting activity. Through Royal Manta Travel, you can begin your diving career. Our team is highly rated by PADI as leaders in their field. By giving you the benefit of our experience, you will have the perfect start to your new career. We even offer you money-saving Career Development Packages, Experience Programs and a full internship "Resort Operations Specialist" Program. 1 Dive master Course The Dive master course can be completed in as little as seven days as a minimum, although most candidates need at least ten days. We recommend taking two to three weeks to complete this first professional level in diver training and gain as much experience as possible. The course not only develops the candidate's diving knowledge to instructor level through independent study and classroom discussions, but also addresses attitudes, judgment, customer service, business and operational challenges. Waterman ship and stamina are evaluated together with diving skills, which will be developed to demonstration quality. Candidates will complete a rescue evaluation and underwater mapping exercise as well as demonstrating their skills in dive planning and leadership. They will also function as an instructional assistant, both in confined and open water. Completion of this course qualifies the candidate to attend either a PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) course or a PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) which eventually leads to the certification as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Once signed off as a Dive master by the instructor, the candidate can continue their education and become a Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader. Apart from that, candidates who are interested in teaching CPR and first aid can qualify as an Emergency First Response Instructor course and teach how to assist injured and ill adults and children, as long as they have current training in CPR and first aid for adults and children. The insured Dive master may also teach and certify PADI Skin Divers and conduct the PADI Discover Snorkeling program, as well as conduct the Scuba Review program for certified divers. (Full details can be found in the General Standards and Procedures section of the PADI Instructor Manual/CD-ROM). Discover Scuba programs can only be conducted by DSD Leaders. Certified and active Dive masters can also take the Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Instructor Training course and help

student divers develop the knowledge, skills and practical techniques necessary to obtain excellent photographs with a digital camera by conducting this Specialty course or acting as 'photo pro' during Open Water Diver courses or Discover Digital Underwater Photography experiences. Internship Program The Dive master course is also available with a free-of-charge Internship option where candidates have the opportunity of working first-hand with students in different diving courses and on the dive boats along-side our experienced professional instructors and dive guides in a busy Red Sea resort location catering for many different dive environments. You will also have the opportunity to learn the day-to-day running of a busy, top-class, resort dive centre in the Red Sea. The internship will enable you to gain practical experience in guiding and assisting in teaching, learn different methods from our instructors and get to know the dive sites, all of which will make it easier for you to find work in the diving industry. The cost of the Dive master course is the same as without the Internship option. 2 Instructor Development Courses (IDC) The PADI Instructor Development Course is designed to prepare PADI Divemasters, PADI Assistant Instructors and instructors from other diving federations to become PADI Instructors. PADI is the world's largest diver training organization and offers the finest Instructor training programs available. The PADI IDC provides a professional learning experience in which you will learn how to teach diving, utilizing the most successful program in existence - the PADI system of diver education. Our PADI IDC contains 3 segments: - IDC Prep Course We can offer a preparatory course for IDC candidates. During the course you will review in depth the subjects of the PADI exams (Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Skills and Environment, RDP Table and Wheel) together with a review of PADI Standards and Procedures. You will also complete a skill circuit in confined water and receive advice on which skills need improvement during the IDC. We offer a prep day right before the IDC free of charge and in addition to that a more intensive two-day preparation course beforehand.

- Assistant Instructor Course The PADI Assistant Instructor Course is designed to provide PADI Dive masters, or those qualified to leadership levels with other agencies, with additional training as instructors and dive educators. The course builds on the abilities to organise and supervise dive activities while concentrating on developing teaching skills and teaching PADI programs. The AI can also teach all classroom theory of any PADI Diver course, conduct SRs, the Discover Scuba Diving experience and conduct the PADI Seal Team Aqua Missions, as well as teach and certify students in PADI Peak Performance and the Buoyancy Specialty Diver under the direction of an Instructor. Candidates who are interested in teaching CPR and first aid can qualify as an Emergency First Response Instructor course and teach how to assist injured and ill adults and children, as long as they have current training in CPR and first aid for adults and children. Once certified, the AI is eligible to enroll in and become a certified Instructor for Oxygen First Aid and nondiving specialties. (Full details can be found in the General Standards and Procedures section of the PADI Instructor manual/cd-rom). - Open Water Scuba Instructor Program This is your final step in the quest to become a PADI Instructor and can be taken by instructors from other diving agencies in good standing as well. DIVER TRAINING FACILITIES Courses are training and, of great importance, is that your training is undertaken in a learning friendly environment with modern support equipment. Our centre has 2 comfortable classrooms with work desks, TV with DVD/Video and large whiteboards for your instructor (and yourselves) to work through examples and explanations. Each room is well ventilated and spacious to ensure your comfort in our warm climate. The confined water training will take place in the confined area by the beach, which is demarked by a buoy-line and presents an easy sandy slope going gradually to deeper water. The open water session training can be done on the house reef or further away using one of our speedboats or daily dive boats. EQUIPMENT AND TANKS All our equipment is in accordance with the standards set by the Egyptian Diving Federation and subject to routine check. We have all the equipment necessary, for hire, that you will need for diving - masks, snorkel, fins, suits, BCD s, Reg Sets. In addition, we have underwater torches for night dives and under water cameras. The equipment is regularly inspected, maintained and repaired by our own experienced staff who are also on hand to give you any assistance with your own equipment should you need their help. Tanks Ample supply of aluminum tanks are on hand, 12 and 15 litre, with both DIN and International fittings. We have our own compressor at the centre for tank refills. If you are likely to need 15 litre tanks do let us know before you arrive so that we can ensure your needs are catered for.

HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS 1 Medical Statement Prior to diving, you will be required to complete a PADI Medical Statement form. If you are in any doubt about your medical status for diving do review this form before coming over and if needed see you physician for his advise and medical statement giving you clearance to dive. However, should you have a medical problem concerning diving we will be happy to help you consult the local doctor at the hyperbaric chamber, 35 km away. 2 Safety Procedures Safety, for you, your buddy and us, is of paramount importance. You will be required to assure us that you will follow the PADI and local safety procedures for diving. 3 On Boats Our boats are equipped with VHF radios, linking them to our main base to be able to alert our management if any emergency arising, and take the proper measures according to the emergency plan we have established. In addition to the VHF you will find on the boat an emergency first aid kit and oxygen cylinder. Our guides undergo a rescue drill twice a year to keep their rescue and EFR skills at the highest level. 4 Diving No matter your diving level, if you have not been diving for the past 6 months, you will be asked to perform the five basic diving skills during the first dive, which are the regulator recovery, mask clearing, mask removal, alternate air source and hovering. Our guides will always give you a thorough briefing before all dives, in which they will limit you to non-decompression dives and a maximum depth of 30 metres.
