We have been playing some awesome courses lately and our schedule looks great going forward. We are set for the Florida Cup challenge and hope those attending will kick butt. We are looking at alternative sites for our Christmas party and also looking for some meetup places for cocktails this fall. We are seeking persons to enter this year s elections for officers for 2016. So if you have the desire to be in the decision making for our club, please consider this opportunity to join the board. Stay cool the rest of the summer and hit the beach or find a pool and relax... ~Bruce Misko Golf Handicap Chair Continuing with our series of excerpts from the USGA Handicap Manual: Frequently Asked Questions and Answers on the USGA Handicap System Q: I lost a match 4 and 3, so I only completed 15 holes. Can I turn in an 18-hole score? A: Yes. For the holes that were not played, record a score of par plus any handicap strokes entitled to, based on full Course Handicap. Q: If I have an injury or disability, can my Handicap Index be adjusted? A: Yes. An increased, local use only L, handicap can be provided by the player s Handicap Committee. Feel free to visit Section 8-4ciii, Decision 8-4c/1, and 8-4c/2 of The USGA Handicap System for additional information. Q: What happens if I fail to post a score or post one in error? A: Post the score as soon as possible. The Handicap Committee can post a penalty score for any score not posted equal to the highest or lowest Handicap Differential. Regular absence of posting can result in adjustment or withdrawal of a Handicap Index. Elizabeth, a very attractive and keen golfer, who lived in a villa on the golf course we were living at in Orlando, heard the noise and called out, Are you okay, what's your name?" "It s Jack, and I m OK thanks," I replied. "Jack, forget your troubles. Come to my villa, rest a while, and I'll help you get the cart up later." "That's mighty nice of you," I answered, but I don't think my wife would like it." "Oh, come on," Elizabeth insisted. She was very pretty and persuasive. "Well okay," I finally agreed, and added, "but my wife won't like it." After a restorative brandy, and some driving and putting lessons, I thanked my host. "I feel a lot better now, but I know my wife is going to be really upset." "Don't be silly! Elizabeth said with a smile, She won't know anything. By the way, where is she?" "Under the cart!"
