Thank you for being a Minister at the Weekend and Special Masses. February July, 2018 This Ministry Schedule is for the next six months, February thru July, 2018. We have tried to schedule you once a month over the next six months. As you can see, you are scheduled for the same weekend each month. Hopefully, this will be helpful to you. If you are scheduled more than once a month, it is because you are down for more than one ministry or we were short on ministers. As we have more ministers sign-up we will put you down only once. Weekend Masses at Christ the King Parish are on Saturday evening at 5 PM and at 10 AM on Sunday at St. Ferdinand Church and Sunday at 7:30 AM at St. Henry Church. We have scheduled ministers for the following special days: Ash Wednesday, February 14th; Holy Thursday, March 29th; Good Friday, March 30 th, Holy Saturday, March 31 st ; Easter, April 1 st (we have an additional Mass this Sunday and different Mass times Please check the special day schedule); Confirmation, April 8 th @ Noon; First Communion is April 22 nd, (we will keep the same Ministry Schedule). Please check these dates to see if you are scheduled and also where and when these Masses are at. If you are unable to be a minister, please find a substitute. Greeters: If you are down as a family for the weekend please try to take 2 of the entrances. Prayer petitions can be found on the tables. Lectors: A book for pronunciation of words is available for $4 if anyone is interested. (Please call the Spiritual Life Center if you would like to get one.) Eucharistic Ministers: You will be staying on the same weekend each month. The only change will be rotating you so you will not always be doing bread or wine. You will need to watch the Ferdinand News, or check the sign in sheet when you sign in. Ministers of the Cup: When purifying the cup between each communicant please be careful not to get it too far down into the cup as the purificator cloth will soak up the precious blood. When your cup is empty please lay purificator on top of the cup, so people are aware that your cup is empty. When communion is finished, please consume the precious blood at the station you are serving. If you are unable to consume the precious blood, ask another minister to help you. Then place the cup on the altar and lay the purificator aside of the cup, not on top. If you are under the age of 21, you may distribute the precious blood, but should not consume it, please ask another minister to consume the precious blood for you. Ushers: If there are a number of people standing in the cryroom, please help them find a seat in the main body of Church. (According to the Fire Marshall no one is to be standing in the cryroom or sitting on the stairs.) SERVERS Please check the Confirmation Schedule some of you are down as servers and some as Gift Bearers. Check-in sheets for Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Servers, Ushers, and Greeters are available. Please sign in before Mass so we know if everyone is at Mass or if we need to look for someone to take your place. If you are unable to keep your scheduled time, please switch with someone or find a substitute. If there is a problem with the schedule, contact the Parish Office, 812-367-1212. Thank you! Jane
