3 1985 Everyone waits for their final year of school for so long, but when it comes hardly anyone is ready to give up the school life or their friends. The major issues for the year in the news were U.S. involvement in conflict in South America and the controversal MX missile being pushed by the Reagan administration. Movies such as Beverly Hills Cop, Breakfast Club, 2010, and Friday the 13th part 5 made their debut this year breaking many attendance and profit records. This year we saw vacancies to be filled in the superintendent's, principal's and vice-principal's positions. Class time was reduced to fifty-two minutes with only four minutes between classes. This year was also the last year seniors could graduate seventh semester. The girls' basketball team won the sectional crown for the second year in a row, but lost to Bosse in the final game of the regional by a last second shot. The boys' basketball team defeated Jasper in the first round of the sectional only to be defeated by Southridge in the championship game. Southridge then went to the final four. It was a good year-so let's take a look at Here is the year in pictures. ersonalities. Ads

83 Memories linger for Memories of proms, sectionals, state contests and friends linger in our minds as we, the class of '85, achieve one of our most important goals in life. As freshmen, we met and united to become a strong class of leaders. Our academic and athletic abilities grew with our failures and strengthened with our accomplishments. We set high standards for ourselves and together we have worked to achieve them. Even though we must go our separate ways, we will always remember the friends we have made, and most importantly, that we will always be Forest Park Rangers. 113 Frosh complete first year as FP students We, the class of '87, have now completed our first year as students of Forest Park High School. When the year started we were a little nervous. We had trouble finding our classes. We forgot our schedules, and the upperclassmen made fun of u. But it didn't take us long to get into the swing of things. We learned quickly that the way to "fit in" is to get involved in clubs, sports and other school activitie. By the end of the year we didn't feel like "Greenies" any more. We came here as individuals from several different communities, but now we have united into the Forest Park class of We know that whatever happens in the next three years we can handle it. 137 Suddenly, it's May; suddenly, it's the last page In September and October we felt like the school year would never end. Then, all of a sudden, it was May and graduation was at hand. It was the same with this yearbook. Especially when four staff members graduated seventh semester, we felt we would never get this issue of the Tracer finished. But we all pitched in, and we got a lot of help from several juniors and sophomores in Journalism I. And now we're down to the last page. So it's time to say thank you to some people who helped make this yearbook possible. We want to thank our adviser, Mr. Ed Walston. We ap preciate the quality work from Robert McCart ~ Photography, our yearbook photographer. Thanks to Mr Steve Pumphrey, our representative of Intercollegiate Press We also want to thank the Ferdinand News and the Heralt for the use of several pictures. We especially want to say thank you to our advertiser for supporting FP journalism, and we want to encourag( our readers to patronize those advertisers.
