Buechler Superintendent The faculty, staff and administration of Forest Park High School are indeed proud to have the privilege of serving the students and patrons of the Southeast Dubois County School Corporation. The work we do is significant in that we are having at least some small effect on the future leaders of our communities and country. The continued success of Forest Park and of our society lies in the hands and minds of you, the students. Our duty is to guide you and serve as examples to you. Take advantage of the bounteous opportunities given by your school. Let us lead you, not down the straight and narrow, but into responsible and mature adulthood. You are our future. 84 Martha Allen Julie Altman Seniors reach for the stars Senior class officers are from left to right, Margie Potter, Secretary; Jim Hoppenjans, President; Rod Milbourne, Vice-President; and Sharon Lindaur, Treasurer. We the class of '80 have now completed a very small milestone of our future. We have strived to live up to past dasses and to the values of our peers. Whether we have succeeded will be determined only by ourselves. We learned during high school that you have to give a little, if you want to get anything. We have given a little, recieved a lot, and now are looking for more. Even though our high school days are over, we can fall back on past memories and experiences to get strength to take on the world. We will remember our defeats as well as our victories, for both have made us strong-willed citizens. The aass of 1980 Tim Altman Donna Anderson Lu Ann Atkins,. 95 Juniors meet challenges Junior class officers are, from left, Sue Lamkin, secretary, Chris Dilger, president, Marcia Kluemper, vice-president and Karla Bolte, treasurer. We, the class of '81, have faced our junior year at Forest Park and have achieved many of our goals, with many more yet to achieve. We've discovered that success is not being great juniors who do everything perfect; success is being able to accept the failures along with the jobs well done. During our first two years some friction developed between the administration and our class. But our class united and strived to quickly eliminate the problem with the traditional high pride that Forest Park students possess. With high hopes for the future, we deeply treasure the past and are willing to meet the challenges that lie ahead as we enter our final year. 105 Soph year a success Sophmore class officers are Tammy Blessinger, treasurer; Jill Fritz, president; Connie Fischer, secretary; and Lori Vaal, vicepresident. The class of '82 has learned a great deal about challenge and responsibility. We have the courage to face a challenge and the responsibility of seeing that what needs to be done gets done. As freshmen we sought our way through the year gaining confidence and courage to work as a class. Then, as sophomores we put that confidence and courage together and really showed spirit in getting things done. We have been known as the class that sticks together through thick and thin, happy and sad. No matter what the cause, we have the uniqueness to be individuals but still stick together to form a strong unit. We're not afraid to voice our opinion when we think something is right or wrong. Now we are looking ahead for the ne:rt two years knowing they will be a challenge, but also knowing we will accept the challenge with strength and willpower. If we continue to stick together and with the cooperation of the teachers our ne:rt two years will be as enjoyable and as great a learning experience as the past two years. 114 Frosh strive for new accomplishments Freshman class officers are Darryl Fischer, president; Ruth Tieken, vice-president;kristi Olinger, secretary; Barbara Henke, treasurer. We, the freshman class, are formed by the capabilities of each individual to make the class of 1983 unique. For many of us the year was a year of struggle. We strived to be accepted by new friends and teachers, and gradually we adjusted to the changes and emerged as a united class. Through this unity we accomplished much to be proud of. We put forth great effort in such projects as decorating our hallway, presenting our skit, and constructing our display for the 1980 sectional. We feel the class of 1983 will help in strengthening and supporting both the educational and athletic aspects of our great Forest Park.
