The Art Club of St. Petersburg opened its doors in 1917 and began the cultural renaissance of the city. Now, 100 years later, the Morean Arts Center continues to serve as the cornerstone of this vibrant community of art and artists. The celebration will be culminated with The Party of the Century!
A Century in the making Masque 100 is not your ordinary masquerade ball but an avant-garde event that is edgy, provocative and providing a myriad of live performance art. 12.31.17 Morean Center for Clay 8:00 pm until the New Year Masque 100 will be a night of history, mystery and fantasy.
Guests will experience spellbinding entertainment from fire breathers and dancers greeting outside to aerialists, acrobatic performers and roaming performance artists. As guests will be en masque, and attendance is expected through Midnight, the party will start at 8:00 pm with heavy gourmet bites and decadent dessert bars scattered throughout the train station. Luxurious VIP Alcoves, alluring lounge seating and tables for six will transform the space into a one-of-akind party also featuring a curated auction of both historic and current finds from Morean Arts Center, dancing to a live band, costume contest and perhaps even a few games of chance. At the stroke of Midnight, masques come off and a champagne toast is made to the future of the arts in St. Petersburg.
