1. RULES 1.1 The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 1.2 Sails shall carry the full sail number and national letters in accordance with Class Rules, RRS and comply with RRS Appendix G. 1.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence. 2. ADVERTISING Boats may be required to display advertising, chosen and supplied by the Organizing Authority. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1 Regatta is open to Optimist and 29er Class. 3.2 All competitors, registered in their national Sailing Associations, can take part in the Regatta. 3.3 Eligible boats may enter by completing the online registration at www.sailpiran.si till Wednesday, 02 March 2016 to qualify for the Early Entry Fee. Late entries will be accepted on Thursday, 03 March 2016 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 3.4 No entry will be considered as valid without payment of the required fees. 4. THE ENTRY FEE 4.1 Early Entry Fee is 30 EUR per boat for competitors, completing the online entry procedure by 02 March 2016. For others, the entry fee 50 EUR applies. 4.2 Entry fee has to be paid to the bank account Športno Društvo PIRAN Banka Koper d.d. IBAN: SI56 1010 0003 4664 594 SWIFT: BAKOSI2X. Notice of race 6. MEASUREMENT 6.1 Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate. 6.2 Boat may be subject to inspection at any time during the event. 7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be available at registration. 8. VENUE 8.1 ŠD Piran will be regatta harbour. Attachment A shows the Location of the regatta harbour. 8.2. The racing area will be on the waters in the Piran bay. Attachment A shows the location of the racing areas. 9. COURSE The course to be sailed will be Trapezoid. 10. SCORING 10.1 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a series. 10.2 When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be total of the race scores. 10.3 When from 5 to 7 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst one score. 10.4 When 8 or more races have been completed, a boat s score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores 11. PRIZES - top three boys in Class Optimist - top three girls in Class Optimist - top three cadets born 2005 or younger Optimist - top three competitors in 29er Class 5. SCHEDULE 5.1 Registration, late entries Thursday, 03 March 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 5.2 Races. Freeday 04 th March First warning signal not before 10:55 Saturday 05 th March Sunday 06 th March 5.3 Skippers meeting Friday, 04 March 2016 at 9:30 a.m. 5.4 Dates of Racing Friday, 04 March 2016: racing Saturday, 05 March 2016: racing Sunday, 06 March 2016 5.5 Number of races Regatta consists of 9 races. No more than 4 races may be sailed a day. 5.6 The scheduled time for the first warning signal Friday, 04 March 2016 at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, 05 March 2016 at 09:55 a.m. Sunday, 06 March 2016 at 09:55 a.m. At registration, all competitors will be required to produce evidence of following documents: a. Fulfilled and signed Parental Authorization for Sailor b. Sailors original third party insurance covering not less than 1.000.000 c. Copy of entry payment; d. Original supporting boat insurance. 12.
