2018 Sioux County Fair Book Updates Sheep Rules Highlights And speaking of sheep... SHEEP AND GOAT WEIGH-IN DATE Market Sheep and Goat Weigh-in will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5 at the Sioux County Fair Grounds. Retinal imaging will start promptly at 7:30. Tags are available at the Extension office for $1.50 each. Tags purchased at the weigh-in will cost $2.00 each Just a reminder that no intact males will be allowed to show at the fair and no dead tissue can be present on the animal.
Poultry Rules Highlighted While there is only one official rule changes, the other two are the rules we d like to highlight: NEW! All exhibitors who want to participate in Showmanship at the fair need to enter on FairEntry by June 15. No entries will be allowed at check in or at the fair office during the fair. All poultry needs to be identified individually by May 15. Only broiler projects can be identified with multiple birds (3) in one identification All poultry exhibited must come from JS Pullorum-typhoid clean or equivalent flocks or have a negative Pullorum-Typhoid test within 90 days of exhibition. Test must have been performed by an authorized tester. EVIDENCE OF AN ORIGINATION FROM CLEAN FLOCK OR OF A NEGATIVE TEST MUST BE PRE- SENTED AT CHECK-IN Static Class Additions Swine News Reminder!
