Registration To comply with Club rules you to need to complete and submit registration documents and pay training and registration fees before your son/daughter will be given a US Club Soccer card. RYSA plays three seasons, fall, winter and spring providing training and facilities for all three seasons as part of the Registration and Training fees. The fees for this are: Wildcats registration fee $780** payable on acceptance of the place on the team ($600 u8) via credit card only. May pay in two installments. NO CASH or CHECKS. Fall training fee Spring training fee $200* payable fall 2017 to training company $200* payable spring 2018 to training company *this is an estimate and will vary depending on number of players per team. The fee covers: NCSA League fall season, winter training or games from January to March, and NCSA League spring season. It also covers registration for 3 tournaments, Wildcats Labor Day Weekend tournament (mandatory), a Columbus Day tournament (mandatory) and a Spring tournament (mandatory). In addition it covers some of the training fees associated with these three seasons and attendance of trainers at all games and the tournaments. For fall and spring seasons, teams will hold twice weekly training sessions. Because of the extensive fundraising activities that the club undertakes on your behalf, the club will make a contribution of approximately $1250-$1450 per team to help cover training costs. (this amount can be more based on fundraising success) Additional fees may apply for EDP teams. I understand that there is NO REFUND after I have accepted a spot and paid. 2. Uniforms Uniforms are provided by Universal Sporting Goods in Pompton Plains where families should go to order their uniforms. Your team manager has location details etc. for the store. The cost for the package is approximately $128 for the basic package. Member families are responsible for the full cost of required uniforms and training wear. This is year three of our uniforms. If you already have a uniform and numbers don t conflict, you do not need to reorder, but you may. Orders must be placed online. Additional items can be purchased as well but only the basic uniform package is required. NEW PLAYERS to the club must order the uniform package. Check with managers for your number assignment. Please make sure to order the u8-u14 uniform not the high school one. 3. Volunteering The club by-laws require each family to provide at least two hours volunteering at the Labor Day tournament. To ensure compliance we require a check for $100 which will be refunded after the tournament. Non-compliance will result in the check being cashed. Additional opportunities for volunteering for fundraising/club events will be sent out throughout the year and your help is vital. 4. Code of Conduct/Commitment I agree to abide by the RYSA Wildcats club disciplinary code as outlined in the by-laws. Further, if my child is allowed to be dual carded, I understand that his/her commitment is to RYSA first. I will have my child attend all practices, games, and tournaments other than for reasons specified in the by-laws. I understand that Labor Day, Columbus Day, and a Spring Tournament are mandatory in club soccer and I agree to attend. I have read and understood this form. I have read and understood the relevant sections of the by-laws. By signing this form I acknowledge that non-payment of fees and/or contravention of the club by-laws may result in the suspension of my son/daughter from the club. Parent & Player Sportsmanship Pledge This Pledge summarizes important elements of the youth sports experience and sets out your commitment to Sportsmanship and Fair Play. Signing it is a condition of your participation in the Ramapo Youth Soccer Association, Inc. THE REGISTERING PLAYER S PARENTS MUST SIGN THE FORM. THE REGISTERING PLAYER CAN ALSO SIGN THE SAME FORM. Important Information about youth and sports Kids participate in sports primarily because it's fun. Adults need to keep it fun. Some adults get too emotional about youth sports because they are too concerned about how their kids are doing, have the mistaken belief that winning is very important, or have a desire for glory through their kids' success. That last one is part of the concept of living through your kids. Kids need to know that if they're trying their best, they are winners. Parents need to remember that their kids will not be great at everything. Recognizing that, parents can help most by relaxing and enjoying these fleeting years. Placing too much pressure on kids to perform well creates stress that can detract from their fun and can affect their self-esteem. Instructions shouted to players are distracting, usually too late, and sometimes inaccurate or in conflict with what the coach is teaching. My Pledge to Set A Good Example I will not be loud or negative towards players, referees, coaches or spectators. I acknowledge that failing to show respect for people who are doing the best they can sets a bad example for our children and can result in my expulsion from the field. If someone else makes an inappropriate comment, I will not make a negative response that could lead to a confrontation. As a player, I should not act in a way that could lead to ejection from a match or embarrassment for my team. When I coach I will remember that encouragement and praise for every child, not just the best athletes, are critically important to their self-esteem and their ability to achieve the most they can. I recognize that striving to win, rather than winning itself, is what is important in sports and in life. Striving to win means doing the best you can. I recognize that players must get playing time to improve and gain the confidence that helps them do the best they can. I acknowledge that this is more important than winning games. I acknowledge that making mistakes and losing are part of life. I pledge that I will be tolerant of the mistakes of players, coaches, referees, and others. I recognize that mistakes are opportunities for learning. I recognize that within the parameters of competition, sportsmanship and fair play are paramount. I pledge that I will commit to promoting an atmosphere of healthy competition to ensure fun for all participants. PRINT PLAYER NAME:
