WELCOME Emilio Martínez Promoter is proud to announce the first edition of the Olympia Amateur Spain - Alicante 2018. The 2018 IFBB Professional League Verónica Gallego Pro will take place the same weekend as the IFBB Professional Pro Qualifier, Amateur Olympia Spain on June 9-10. Olympia Amateur Spain is considered the most important event of Fitness and Bodybuilding in Europe, since its founder Joe Weider started the legend in 1965. Beside traditional men s bodybuilding, our amateur version will also include men s classic bodybuilding, men s physique as well as Figure, women s physique, and bikini full spectrum of the spectacular physique sports performed in the amateur nowadays. This time, the 2018 Amateur Olympia Spain will be held in Alicante It will be an amazing weekend, where the best athletes will meet with the aim to achieve the such desired professional card awarded by the IFBB PRO LEAGUE. This Pro Qualifier Contest will be open to ALL amateur athletes worldwide regardless of their federation affiliations. The only contests the IFBB Professional League will recognize for Professional Status are the Pro Qualifiers associated with the IFBB Professional League; no other contests will be acknowledged. The IFBB Pro League Pro Qualifiers are the ONLY way to compete on the IFBB Professional League stage, including the OLYMPIA. Alicante, or Alacant, both the Spanish and Valencian being official names, is a city and port in Spain on the Costa Blanca, the capital of the province of Alicante and of the comarca of Alacantí, in the south of the Valencian Community. PARTICIPATION Olympia Amateur Spain - Alicante 2018. REGISTRATION The Official Athlete Registration will be conducted on Friday, June 08 th, 2018 in Expo IFA. This Competition is open to all athletes and federations worldwide. Amateur Olympia Spain is an open contest. The number of athletes to participate is unlimited. Friday, June 08 th, 2018-10:00 am - 8:00 pm Remember that all athletes will have to produce their payment at the registration. IMPORTANT INFORMATION POSING MUSIC Presentation: PRO QUALIFIER CONTESTS do permit competitors to crossover into all classes. All posing music must be on an audio CD only. The posing music must also be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must affix his name on the CD for easy identification. This fee can be added during your registration. Please make sure you include the name of your coach in the NOTE FIELD. TANNING COMPETITORS INFORMATION Athletes will be given a goodie bag and wristband at the registration on Friday, June 08 th, 2018. This wristband has to be worn during your whole stay and will allow you in and out of the venue during the weekend. There is a special athlete seating area close to the stage and backstage. The athletes coach will be given a backstage pass. PLEASE NOTE: There will be a limited amount of extra coach passes available at the registration and they can be purchased for EUR 50,00. COMPETITORS RULES > MEN S BODYBUILDING Posing suits must be standard men s swimsuit with at least ½ rear coverage. Suits must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. Thongs are prohibited. Posing suits must be one color. Fringe, wording, sparkle or fluorescents is prohibited. Competitors must not alter the fit of the posing suit by hiking it up in the back or by pulling up the sides during Front and Rear Lat Spreads. The following is prohibited while onstage: a. Props b. MUSCULARITY AND BODY CONDITION Judges will be looking for fit competitors who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity should be marked down. STAGE PRESENCE AND PERSONALITY Judges are looking for the competitor with the best stage presence and poise who can successfully convey his personality to the audience. > WOMEN S BIKINI ATTIRE 1. Competitors compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. Thongs are prohibited. Competitors can compete in an off-the-rack suit. All suits must meet acceptable standards of taste and decency. 2. Competitors must wear high heels. 3. Competitors may wear jewelry. PRESENTATION Competitor numbers must be worn on the left side of the suit bottom at all times while onstage Each competitor, in numerical order, walks onstage and performs their Model Walk (personal preference). The Model Walk is described as follows: Walk to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance, then a full turn and do a back stance, then turn to the front again and face the judges. Length of time allowed is 30 seconds. JUDGING AND SCORE The Presentation and Comparisons are scored 100% using the following criteria: 1. Balance and shape 2. All media must submit your request to info@mrolympiaamateur.es no later than May 15 th, 2018. > VISAS EU-country citizens do not need to obtain a visa. All other countries should consult the Spanish Embassy in their country to determine if they need a visa. All National Federations could ask for an Invitation letter either to the Championship Organizer or IFBB Professional League. The invitation letter does not mean you are granted your visa. IFBB Professional League and Championship organizer are not responsible of attendants visas.
