Narva City participated in international project "City to City for Building Our Europe - C2C4EU" Main objectives of the project: Raising awareness of cultural dialogue for better European integration Exchange of experience in the field of European integration Exchange of experience in the use of financial support for the funds of the European Union The participants of the project were 6 cities from different countries of Europe: Heraklion (Greece), Gerace (Italy), Teruel (Spain), Barcelos (Portugal), Kishtelek (Hungary), Narva (Estonia). From September 19 to 23 (2017) in the framework of the international project "City to City for Building Our Europe - C2C4EU" a meeting was held in Narva. Programme of events in Narva: On September 20 at 10.00 in the hall of Narva City Council a meeting of project partners took place, at which the main objectives, partners and results of the project were presented. During the meeting a press conference was held, where the partners of the project answered the questions from journalists. Also on this day, guests got acquainted with Narva attractions and visited sites that received support from the European Union Funds: the promenade, Joaorg, casemates of the Victoria bastion. September 21, 10.00-14.30 an open forum "The Future of Europe: Opportunities and Challenges" was held in the Narva College of the University of Tartu. At the forum, experts from 6 countries of the project presented their vision on this topic. On September 22, the project team evaluated the videos submitted for the video competition on the topic "The European Union, which you would like to see in the future!" Young people aged 18 to 26 could take part in the competition. To participate in the contest it was necessary to prepare a video clip according to the requirements of the project. The expected results of this competition were to raise awareness of the importance of cultural dialogue for better European integration, to improve knowledge about the methods of civic participation for making personal contributions to the most important European decisions and policies. on September 22 at 15.15 the video competition results including the winning video was presented in the hall of Narva City Council. On September 22 young participants of the project from each partner-city took part in a discussion in the Narva Youth Centre. Representatives of youth discussed joint affairs and projects in such areas as ecology, culture, education, development of management and business. The results of the discussion were designed as a creative presentation, which was presented on September 22 at 15.15 in the hall of Narva City Council. Also, the project participants took part in the ceremonial event "Narva-Autumn Capital of Estonia". Event 3 Participation: The event involved 75 citizens, including 21 participants from the city of Kistelek (HU), 15 participants from the city of Teruel (Spain) 15 participants from the city of Narva (Estonia) 21 participants from the city of Gerace (IT) n 3 participants from the city of Heraklion etc. Location / Dates: The event took place in Barcelos (Portugal ), from 01/05/2017 to 05/05/2017 Forum: How the EU policies for smart growth can help local communities?
