Students: Picture retakes will be Tuesday, October 22 nd for all students who wish to have a retake. This will include any student that wishes to order pictures but did not have their picture money on the day of the first pictures. If an order form is needed, please visit Mrs. Eichenauer. Students: Friday, October 25 th is our Halloween Lock-In! See information on page 3 for more details! Students: Any tenth grader that needs to pick up their yearbook can visit Mrs. Eichenauer. She will have some on sale, for those that didn't purchase one last year, for $35. As well, freshmen and sophomores can begin buying next year s yearbook now for $30! EAU Club Announcements Student Council: LOCK-IN INFORMATION EAU s Halloween Lock-In will occur on Friday, October 25 th from 8:00pm 5:00am! (Students may leave between 12:00am-1:00am if they choose. Parents MUST sign students out in person). Admission is just $2.00! Concessions (pizza, soda, chips, etc ) will be available for purchase! Join us for games, prizes, a pumpkin carving contest, Velcro wall, live DJ, food, and more! Events are scheduled throughout the ENTIRE night, so don t miss out on this year s fun! EAU Families If you are interested in helping out EAU s Student Council this year, please contact Mrs. Decker, (260) 446-0240 ext. 7513 or at ndecker@eacs.k12.in.us. We need lots of volunteers to make our events even more awesome! Intramurals (October): Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - Weight room and Fitness room will be open as well as walking. Tuesday and Thursday - We will be outdoors and will play soccer or football, which ever has majority vote for players that show up. We will not be doing indoor sports until November and December! ALL STUDENTS MUST HURRY AND CHANGE AND GET TO THE DESIGNATED AREA WITHIN 10 MINUTES SO WE DON'T WASTE TIME FOR GAMES! All information will be posted outside Ms. Bonelli's door in case you forget by the end of the day.
SPOTLIGHT ON EAU STUDENTS Congratulations to the 2013 East Allen University Spell Bowl team! Monday (October 14 th ), the team competed at Hamilton Jr./Sr. High School in the area Spell Bowl Competition, where they were victorious over the other ten schools competing. This gifted team came in on top of the 44 Indiana schools in their class. The team was led by Autumn Quinn, who was a perfect speller and Bailey Hapner, Mitchell Lehman, and Ben Sendo who were all near perfect spellers. The rest of the team includes: Brooklyn Boatright, Jordan Grogg, Vanessa Payton, McKenzie Suggs, Kennedy Thompson, Brittanie Wilson and Nicole Winans. As a result of this victory, the team will travel to Purdue University on Saturday, November 16, 2013 to compete in the state competition. Keep them in your thoughts and cheer on this special team!
EAU Student Services Peer Tutoring: Are you struggling in one or more classes? Would you like someone to help you but are afraid to ask questions? Consider working with a peer tutor! The tutors can help you with organization of your materials and help you with homework or study for a test. See Ms. Antrim in Guidance if you are interested in getting connected with a peer tutor!
