The Star f the Nrth State Games will be cnducted in accrdance with the rules and regulatins f U.S. Figure Skating, as set frth in the current rulebk, as well as any pertinent updates which have been psted n the U.S. Figure Skating website. ELIGIBILITY/TEST LEVEL: Star f the Nrth State Games, USFS track, is a U.S. Figure Skating sanctined event endrsed by the ISI, but membership in U.S. Figure Skating and/r ISI is NOT required. Participants must be a resident f the state f Minnesta. Registered members f USFS and ISI must be in gd standing. USFS and ISI members must include their USFS r ISI number at the time f registratin, and indicate whether they are USFS r ISI. Test level: Cmpetitin level is the highest test passed as f the entry deadline in the discipline the skater is entering. Entrants may skate ne level abve that fr which they qualify, but they may nt skate dwn in any event. Age restrictins/requirements: Skaters entering juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Prgram) must be under 13 years f age at the clse f entries. Skaters entering pen juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Prgram), must be at least 13 years f age at the clse f entries. Skaters entering beginner pre-juvenile events will be divided as clsely as pssible by age shuld the number f entries warrant mre than ne grup. Eligibility fr all age-restricted events is determined by the skater s age as f the entry deadline date. ENTRIES: Entries may be limited, s register early. Only nline entries with secure credit card payment thrugh EntryEeze will be accepted, and teams must cmplete the team rster sectin. Nte that electrnic entries must be paid with a successful credit card transactin t be cnsidered valid, and must be cmpleted by midnight, March 24, 2018. Fees will be as fllws: $100 first event $25 each additinal event Late entries will be accepted at the discretin f the cmpetitin cmmittee and the chief referee, and nly if accmpanied by a $30.00 late fee. There will be a $25.00 change fee fr each change f an event r level after the entry deadline date. The This event is a standard U.S. Figure Skating Nn-qualifying Cmpetitin

cmpetitin cmmittee and/r the chief referee reserve the right t cancel r cmbine any event(s) and/r t limit entries because f time cnstraints. Skaters will be ntified if their event is cancelled r cmbined. REFUND POLICY: Entry fees will nt be refunded after the entry deadline unless n cmpetitin exists r the event is cancelled. Under USFS State Games Rule SGCR 6.04, which states if nly ne cmpetitr is entered in an event, the event may be held, events with nly ne registrant will be held. There will be n refunds fr medical withdrawals. The nline prcessing fees are nt refundable. Checks returned fr nn-sufficient funds and cntested credit card charges will be issued a $25.00 fee. Payment f the fee will be required befre the skater is allwed t participate in practice ice r events. Ntificatin f cmpetitin and practice ice times will be available by email and EntryEeze. FACILITIES: The cmpetitin will be held at the Chaska Cmmunity Center Ice Arena, 1661 Park Ridge Dr., Chaska, MN, 55318, 952-448-5633. Rink size is 200 x 85, and arena temperature will be between 45-52 degrees. Admissin will be $5; children 12 and under are free. Bleacher seating is available. Lcker rms will be available fr the skaters t use. There will be cncessins available fr purchase in the main lbby. There will als be a caches hspitality rm. MUSIC: The fficial cmpetitin music must be turned in at the registratin table at the time f check-in. Only standard frmat CDs will be accepted. They must be clearly marked with the cmpetitr s name and event. A duplicate CD shuld be readily available. Music may be picked up at the registratin table fllwing each event. Every reasnable care will be taken, but neither the Star f the Nrth State Games nr Chaska FSC will be held respnsible fr CDs left at the end f the cmpetitin. Please have separate CDs fr practice and cmpetitin. LIABILITY: U.S. Figure Skating, Star f the Nrth State Games, Chaska FSC, and the Chaska Cmmunity Center accept n respnsibility fr injury r damage sustained by any participant in this cmpetitin. This is in accrdance with Rule 1600 f the fficial U.S. Figure Skating Rulebk. JUDGING SYSTEM: The U.S. Figure Skating 6.0 rdinal scring methd will be used fr all events, and judging will be by fficial U.S. Figure Skating judges. This event is a standard U.S. Figure Skating Nn-qualifying Cmpetitin

REGISTRATION: The skater registratin desk will be pen ne hur befre the first event and run thrugh the last event f the day. Please check in prmptly upn arrival. Check in at least ne hur prir t yur event. Events can begin as early as 30 minutes ahead f schedule. A lst and fund will be maintained at the registratin desk. PRACTICE ICE: Practice ice will be available the day f the event. Practice ice will be available thrugh EntryEeze nce the cmpetitin schedule has been finalized. A 20- minute sessin will be $15 if pre-paid at the time f entry, r $20 at the dr. TEST SESSION: A test sessin will be held n Friday, May 4 frm 4pm - 8pm. Please see the Chaska Figure Skating Club website (chaskafsc.cm) fr a test applicatin under the tab Our Club, then Testing. All applicatins and fees must be received by April 20, and skaters will be admitted t the sessin n a first cme, first served basis. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY: Videgraphy will be prvided by Perkins Media. Yur entry includes a vide f ne event. Additinal vides and/r events will be available fr purchase. Skaters will need t prvide a flash drive t receive their vides. An fficial phtgrapher will be taking actin shts f all skaters and events as well as event winners. AWARDS: Medals will be awarded t skaters placing first thrugh third in each event. These will be awarded ff ice shrtly after the final results are psted. OFFICIAL NOTICES: An fficial bulletin bard will be maintained at skater check-in. It is the respnsibility f each cmpetitr, parent and cach t check the bulletin bard frequently fr any schedule changes and/r additinal infrmatin. INFMATION REGARDING COACHES: U.S. Figure Skating Rule MR 5.11 Cach Registratin In rder t be granted access t wrk within U.S. Figure Skating sanctined activities, each cach must cmplete the fllwing requirements n an annual basis by July 1: A. Must be a current full member f U.S. Figure Skating - either thrugh a member club r as an individual member. B. Must cmplete the cach registratin prcess thrugh the U.S. Figure Skating Members Only site, submit prper payment fr the annual registratin fee f $30 and, if 18 years f age r lder, successfully pass the backgrund screen. C. Must cmplete the apprpriate CER curses (A, B, C r D) depending n the highest level f students being cached as f July 1. See rule MR 5.12. D. Must submit prf f current general liability insurance with limits f $1 millin per ccurrence/$5 millin aggregate. The lcal rganizing cmmittee/club will have a list f cmpliant caches wh are cleared fr a credential at the cmpetitin. Caches will need t check in at the event registratin desk and shw a gvernment issued pht I.D. t receive a credential. If a cach cannt prvide a pht I.D. and is nt n the list r cannt prduce the necessary dcuments, he r she will nt be allwed a credential n exceptins. We strngly urge all caches t have their cards with them. Nn-credentialed caches will nt be permitted in the designated caching area at rink side during events, including practice sessins.
