Simply click on "sign up" in the email and it will take you to the web site, www.collindale18gals.com, to either indicate "play'' or "not play." If you are not able to sign up online, you must contact the pairings coordinator no later than Sunday evening for play the following week. You can sign up online for multiple weeks at one time. CANCELLATION Members who sign up to play but do not cancel by 6:00 PM Sunday will be charged $2.00! Cancellation money collected goes toward Fun Day. CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER In the case of inclement weather, Ladies Day Play will be canceled by the President of the Club by 6:30 AM. Please call the Pro Shop (221-665I) to verify if play has been cancelled or check your email to get an update. TOURNAMENT FEES Fees charged for tournaments will be at the discretion of the tournament committee and treasurer. TEE TIMES You will be notifed of your tee time by email after the pairings have been fnalieed. If you are unable to receive email, please call the pro shop Tuesday morning or later to confrm your tee time. Many tournaments will have s, so check the Locker Room for tournament ing times and more information. ETIQUETTE Each group is responsible for keeping up with the group in front of them. You should play within a 1/2 hole of the group ahead of you. To determine honors on the frst hole, tee off in alphabetical order. Foursomes will tee off ON TIME. If one member is not present, the group tees off anyway. Late members will not be eligible for priees. During the round, please play READY GOLF to keep up the pace of play. Be as close as possible to your ball with your club in hand when it is your turn to hit. If you save 30 seconds per hole it shortens your round by 9 minutes. For a foursome, that equates to 30+ minutes. Remember course courtesy and please replace your divots and fi your ball marks on the greens!
TEAM PLAY INFORMATION Collindale Women's 18-Hole Golf Association felds a group of sii golfers to compete in at least fve matches throughout the summer. Our team competes against other ladies' associations from all over the Front Range. Team Play competition is a two-person match piay format and is played at a variety of golf courses in northern Colorado. CWGA has adopted the following rules for eligibility for team play: 1. The paid-up CWGA member must have a permanent handicap-no temporary handicap allowed. 2. Beginning with the lowest handicap member, the team captain will feld a team of sii (6) players for each team play. If a club member is not playing or participating in any club functions, she may be passed over and a higher handicapped active member will be asked to compete. Any club member not turning in 18-hole scores for a handicap may be ineligible. 3. To be eligible to play a team match at the beginning of the competitive season, a member must have played in and completed at least two (2) Ladies' Day plays or other club tournaments during the previous August or September or during the current season, played in at least two of the last sii Ladies Days or club sponsored events prior to the scheduled team play day. 4. If the team goes to the playofs, the ladies who have played the most will be chosen frst, and the lowest handicap will be used to break ties. 5. These listed rules are determined and enforced by the team captain and the handicap chairwoman. Post adjusted scores, date, and course rating on your computer or the computer located near the east door of the club house. The computer will calculate 18-hole scores which will be added to your handicap record. To have a true handicap, all scores must be posted. 2018 SCHEDULED TOURNAMENTS TWO-GAL BEST BALL June 28 - THURSDAY Find a partner and take turns playing well. This is a one day contest in which only the best net score of the twosome is recorded. The tournament will have a shot-gun with a luncheon afterward. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP July 19 & 20 THURSDAY, FRIDAY A fghted event of two days of stroke play, awards given by fght for gross and net scores, with long drive and closest to the pin awards. Tee times scheduled both days. Thursday concludes with a luncheon and awards ceremony. RINGER August 16 & 23 - THURSDAYS Of two rounds, the lowest score on each hole is recorded, thus turning in only ONE 18-hole round. The second Thursday is a shot-gun with a luncheon afterward. FUN DAY September 27 - THURSDAY This is our end-of-the-golf-season fun day. Outrageous costumes and attire would not be out of the question! Thursday is a shot-gun, followed by a luncheon, club awards and prizes handed out afterward. NEW MEMBER INFO SHEET~ 2018 Collindale 18 Hole Women's League WELCOME! We're glad you've joined us! JOINING: Your $85 membership fee includes: a $35 handicap fee to CWGA as well as play-of-the-day and tournament prizes. Play-of-the-day is a different game each week and pays $3 to each of the following: low net, low gross and the top 5 (lowest net scores) of the field. These 'chits' are recorded by and can be retrieved from the pro shop at any time during the year. For more information about tournaments and our league go to our website collindale18gals.com and click on 'booklet'. SIGNING UP TO PLAY: You will receive an email on Friday or Saturday asking if you'd like to play the following week. You can sign up this way or go to the website and enter your full email address as your pass word. Either way, click on 'sign up', click on the date and whether you'd like to walk, ride or not playing. You will need to sign up by 6 pm Sunday evening to play that week. You will receive your tee time usually by Tuesday. PLAYING: Arrive at the pro shop 20 minutes prior to your tee time. Pay for your round/cart at the front desk- mention 'senior rate' if this applies as they will not ask you. If you are interested in a shot at closest to the pin on #8 each week, place a dollar in the golf ball box on the counter and sign your name on the list in the box. Pick up your scorecard at the desk. On the scorecard will be a description of the play-of-the-day game. Switch cards with someone in your group and make sure you record gross & game of the day scores & putts on each hole. You may keep your own score at the bottom of the scorecard. AFTER PLAY: Verify your score with whomever you traded cards and make sure to sign the scorecard you kept as well as attesting (signing) your own scorecard. Total gross, net, play-of-the-day and putts should all be recorded. There will be a birdie tree in the locker room, so if you make a birdie during a play-of-the-day, make sure to sign a bird & hang it on the tree. Place your scorecard in the blue plastic container in the locker room and enjoy some lunch in the clubhouse! Make sure to adjust your score on your scorecard using the Equitable Stroke Control System. Your score will be posted for you by the scorekeeper and/or handicap chair.
