Soft Field T/O Procedure 1,000 AGL Accelerate to enroute climb 85 KIAS Complete climb check Keep rolling with elevator full aft Adding full power: Engine Instruments green Airspeed Alive Get nose off ground ASAP and maintain wheelie until lift off Upon lift off, stop climb and stay in ground effect Accelerate to Vy 79 KIAS then climb at VY Prior to Receiving T/O Clearance Complete Before T/O checklist

Normal Approach And Landing Power to idle Establish 80 KIAS Descend at 80 KIAS Judge glide based on wind Adjust Base and Final to compensate for wind Flaps as necessary to increase rate of descent On Final Speed 80 KIAS if clean, 70-75 if flaps deployed Extended Pattern and Landing On Base Power 1500 RPM Establish 80 KIAS Flaps as necessary to increase rate of descent Power 1700 RPM Establish 90 KIAS Descend at 400 500 FPM appox. 45 deg. On Final Speed 80 KIAS if clean, 70-75 if flaps deployed

Short Field Approach And Landing Power to idle Full flaps when in white arc Establish 70 KIAS Descend at 70 KIAS Judge glide based on wind Adjust Base and Final to compensate for wind Cross threshold at 50 Brief flare Flaps up, yoke aft to move weight onto main tires Brakes: gentle at first, slowly adding to max braking Soft Field Approach And Landing Power to idle Full flaps when in white arc Establish 70 KIAS Descend at 70 KIAS Judge glide based on wind Adjust Base and Final to compensate for wind Consider adding power to cushion touchdown Move yoke aft to maximize prop clearance and keep nose wheel light on ground. Minimize braking

Slow Flight Power idle Flaps (if desired ) when in the white arc RPM 1700-2000 as stall horn turns on Full power (mixture rich first) Flaps up Resume cruise flight Maintain: Altitude w/in 100, HDG w/in 10 Rudder coordination is key Rudder is primary for turning, ailerons secondary Each power change needs rudder change Steep Turns Roll into 45 degree bank Add 50-100 RPM Perform task in the opposite direction Reduce power to entry power setting Exit heading w/in 10 degrees of entry Maintain: Altitude w/in 100, exit heading w/in 10 of entry Air speed w/in 10 kts Coordinated rudder, especially entries and exits

Power Off Stall (approach to landing stall) Power idle Flaps when in the white arc if desired Establish a glide at 70 kts Full power (mixture rich first) Flaps up Minimize altitude loss Establish a climb Resume cruise flight Flare : HDG w/in 10 Rudder coordination is key Power On Stall (departure stall) Add full power while pitching up Set a constant pitch to result in constant deceleration Reduce angle of attack just enough to stop buffeting Minimize altitude loss and transition into a climb Maneuver is complete once climb is established Power idle Slow to 70 Kts Approaching stall: As speed dissipates, add more right rudder Recover at either the first indication, or the aerodynamic buffet
