The following guidelines apply for entering the tournament: All categories have a maximum draw of 96 players. Restrictions will be made according to ESF Guidelines. All players must have an active, paid-for SPIN (Squash Personal Identification Number) to participate. www.worldsquash.org/spin Entries can only be made by the Member National Associations. Entries from countries not associated with the ESF will have to provide a contact person from the Official Federation. This person must take responsibility for all entries from that country. All players will stay at the tournament hotel, Van der Valk Schiphol All players must wear approved eye guards. The recording of matches for coaching / performance analysis purposes is acceptable provided the player and / or their parents / coaches do not object. Players can use the swimming pool and fitness facilities in the hotel only under strict adult supervision. The organization retains the right to have the possibility to divide players into 3- or 4-person bedrooms if necessary Individual entries will only be accepted using the online entry www.djosquash.nl -> Online entry Closing date is 7th of June 2018. Squash Bond Nederland presents on the courts of FRANS OTTEN STADION, AMSTERDAM DUTCH JUNIOR OPEN 2018 the final Super Series event of the EUROPEAN JUNIOR CIRCUIT 2017/18 DATES Thursday 12th July - Sunday 15 July 2018. The tournament will commence Thursday 09.00 hours. All participants must be available at the venue from this time. VENUE Frans Otten Stadion, IJsbaanpad 43, 1076 CV, Amsterdam. GUIDELINES The event complies with the ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines, a copy of which is available on the ESF website www.europeansquash.com all participating MNAs should make sure that all relevant people (including coaches, managers and players) are aware of the Guidelines and their requirements. CATEGORIES BU 19 GU 19 BU 17 GU 17 BU 15 GU 15 BU 13 GU 13 BU 11 GU 11 Players may only enter one category, except for the boys <11 they can enter for 2 categories. A minimum of 3 matches will be scheduled. All players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches. ELIGIBILITY The Dutch Junior Open is open to all players under the age of 11, 13, 15, 17 or 19 on 15th July 2018, as appropriate. SEEDING The seeding will be undertaken using the ESF Junior Rankings valid at the closing date for entries and in accordance with the ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines. Also the results of the latest tournament will be used. The top 8 seeds in each category will be determined. Any non-european players who do not have an ESF ranking will be seeded by the Tournament Director. Details of the seeding will be found at the 8th of July on the tournament website (www.djosquash.nl). The tournament will commence Thursday 09.00 hours. All participants must be available at the venue from this time. MATCHES All matches will be played as best of five games, under the rules of the WSF. Scoring will be PAR 11 to 2 clear points. REFEREEING All players will be expected to mark and referee matches after their match. This will happen together with your opponent from the last match!
BALL The Dunlop Pro ball will be used. Tournament Prize money There will be price money in the under 19 Boys/Girls categories. Trophies will be awarded in all categories. EYE GUARDS All junior players (under 19 years of age) must wear protective eyewear (manufactured to an approved national safety standard) properly over the eyes at all times during practice and match play. The list of WSF Certified Eyewear allowable at the time of participation can be viewed on the WSF website. INSURANCE Players enter and play in the tournament at their own risk. Neither the organisers nor the ESF accept any responsibility for injury arising from participating in the event. Players must arrange their own insurance. Individual & Group entries using this entry form won t be accepted. All entries must provide a contact person from the official federation. The named responsible person must be an official representative of the MNA. This person must take responsibility for all entries from that country. The organization can restrict entries according to ESF guidelines. Only Federations can enter a group throughout the online tournament software system.

ESF PENALTIES E4.a) If a player makes a late withdrawal from a tournament (2 days or less before the start date), a doctor s certificate confirming injury/illness must be provided to avoid penalties. The medical certificate (with a translation in English) must clearly state the player s name, date of birth and the nature of the illness/injury; the certificate must cover the date of the relevant tournament and must be sent to the ESF office within two days after the final day of the tournament (email: esf@europeansquash.com; fax +44 1424 202463). Any player making a late withdrawal not supported by a medical certificate will receive zero points for the tournament which will count as one of their 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically unless the ESF office receives a doctor s certificate within two days of the final day of the tournament. If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12-month period, he/she will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months. b) If a player has entered a tournament and fails to turn up, he/she will receive zero ranking points for the tournament. These zero points will count as one of the player s 4 best results for the rolling 12-month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically. If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12-month period, he/she will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months. c) If a player fails to play out all scheduled matches for any reason other than illness or injury, he/she will receive zero ranking points for the tournament. Illness or injury must be verified by the tournament director and, if possible, by medical certificate sent to the ESF office within two days of the final day of the tournament. If zero points are awarded, the points will count as one of the player s 4 best results for the rolling 12-month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically. If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12-month period, he/she will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.
CLOSING DATE The closing date for entries is the 7th of June 2018. DRAWS The seeding and times of first matches will be published on the tournament website. The finalised draws will be published at the venue and on the website at the start of the event. ENTRY FEE The entry fee is 57,- which includes, physiotherapy, tournament gift and service and handling fee. For hotel packages see next page. CANCELLATIONS The costs for hotel packages cannot be refunded for any cancellations received on or after 4th of July. For cancellations between 20th of June and 4th of July 2018, only a 50% refund will be made (less all bank charges).
VISA APPLICATION If players need to apply for a visa they need an invitation letter from the Dutch Junior Open. Players can acquire an invitation letter on request. Please take the following guidelines in to account when visas are needed: Before applying for an invitation letter player must register for entry of the Dutch Junior Open 2018. Before an invitation letter is send payment must have been received. Before an invitation letter is send the organization must receive the following necessary information: o Full Name: o Date of Birth (DD-MM-YY): o Place of Birth: o Passport number: o Date of Expiry: o Date of arrival: o Date of departure: Receiving an invitation letter from the Dutch Junior Open can take up to 5 working days after registration, payment and necessary information are received. Acquiring of the visa is the responsibility of the players. If the visa gets denied after the entry deadline players will only be able to get a refund according to the rules for cancellations as written above. HOTELROOM BOOKINGS - HOTELROOM SHARING o The organization is free to put players without a sharing partner together. The organization cannot put players together with more than 1 age category difference The organization cannot put players together of a different gender o The sharing of rooms is the responsibly of a coach or parent. The organization cannot be held responsible for any problems. - ODD NUMBER OF ENTRY S o If a national federation or group of players enters an odd number of players for multiple rooms, then the organization must put 1 player in a single room. Or share with another player regarding to the hotel sharing regulations as written above. If there is no other player to share with, then the organization is free to charge the national federation for the upgrade to a single room. - DIFFERENCE IN ARRIVAL DATES o The arrival and departure date of players 2 players sharing must be the same. If one player has a different arrival or departure date, then this player must book a single room. TRANSPORT The Van der Valk Hotel provides free shuttle service from Schiphol Airport to the Hotel. There is another free shuttle bus that goes to the squash venue and the hotel during the tournament (Starting at Thursday). A timetable will be displayed at the squash center, at the hotel and on the tournament website.
