Dear Cheer Candidate/Parents: Center Grove Middle School North Cheerleading Tryout Information for 2009-2010 Season Your daughter has expressed an interest in becoming a cheerleader at our middle school for the 2009-2010 school year. Girls that are interested in trying out for cheerleading will first attend two cheer. After the clinics, we will have all girls tryout, and the final squads will be announced April 17, 2009. The two clinics will take place on Monday, April 13 th and Wednesday, April 15 th. The tryouts will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2009. Please refer to the packet for exact times and locations of the clinics and tryout. If elected, there are certain responsibilities and obligations which your daughter must assume in order to qualify and remain a member in good standing. Cheerleading is time-consuming and does involve expenses. The cheerleaders and their parents must pay for bodysuits, briefs, shoes, pompons, summer camp, and summer camp outfits. The total approximate cost of everything is $350.00-$400.00. We will try to break down the expense list by making 2 pay dates; however, the total payment will need to be paid before the end of the current (2009) school year. There will be a meeting for all new cheerleaders and their parents after tryouts to discuss this issue further. Candidates who are selected to be a member of a squad will be informed of this meeting date shortly after tryouts. The cheerleaders receive many valuable and rewarding educational experiences from cheerleading that they will remember for a long time. These activities will not only channel their enthusiasm and spirit in a constructive and beneficial manner, but will also give them a sense of pride and accomplishment in being a part of a group that has established itself as one of the finest in our area. There will be an informational meeting held in the large group instruction room at Middle School North on Thursday, April 9 th at 6:00 p.m. (this meeting should only last a half-hour to forty-five minutes long). Please feel free to attend this meeting or to contact Miss Coros or Miss Ehinger with any questions you have about the Cheerleading Constitution, financial responsibilities, or the tryout procedure. Thank you for your cooperation!

PLEASE READ, SIGN, AND RETURN THIS FORM TO THE FRONT OFFICE BY FRIDAY, April 10 th 2009. To all Candidates and their Parents or Guardians: (Candidates) I have read all pages of the cheerleading constitution and understand the responsibilities and privileges of being a Center Grove Middle School North Cheerleader. I will abide by these rules and regulations to the best of my ability. I will cooperate fully with the coaches and all persons and organizations concerned to promote spirit and good sportsman-like conduct. At all times, whether at school or away from school, I will conduct myself in a manner that best represents the students and faculty of Center Grove Middle School North.
