amendment 2: december, 2017 purpose and need for amendment On October 26, 2017, the Texas Transportation Commission awarded funding to 2 project applications submitted by the City of Waco under the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program (TASA). This amendment specifically identifies these projects and updates the project limits, scope of work, cost and funding sources to ensure consistency with Commission actions and project programming within the 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program. revenue forecasts Federal law requires projects identified within the Metropolitan Transportation Plan to be constrained by a reasonable projection of funds which governments within McLennan County anticipate receiving during the planning period. Project costs beyond the anticipated revenues are unfunded and cannot be identified as a recommended priority within the MTP. This section outlines significant changes anticipated to transportation revenues through 2040 as a result of Legislative action that have taken place since adoption of the MTP in January, 2015. This project does not identify specifics with regards to these and other factors such as proposed alignments or grade separation as they are unknown as of publication of this plan. The project is a placeholder; however, indicating MPO support for the eventual recommendations of the TxDOT study provided any proposed service stops in Downtown Waco.
