You can either register in person at the SecurTek Kiosk or over the phone by calling 306-786-1740. We reserve the right to cancel a program if we don t have enough registrants; you will get a phone call and a full refund. However, if you cancel your registration for any reason within 7 days of the start date you will not receive a refund. If you cancel your registration greater than 7 days from the start date you will receive a refund minus an administrative fee. Note: Course fees are adjusted based on the number of classes. Classes run once daily at the scheduled time over 2 weeks. Session 1 and 3 are only 9 classes due to Canada Day and Civic holiday observances. 5
To ensure that instructors can apply extreme attention to each individual, private lessons are limited to 2 people maximum. Cost for 1 student is $139.50 for five 30 minute sessions ($111.60 for 4 lessons). The number of classes available in a time slot is listed in the brackets (Ex. (2) ) indicates there are 2 private classes available. To enroll a second student in the same lesson, add a $50 fee per set. Lifesaving Society Programs The Lifesaving Society is organization responsible for setting the standard for professional lifeguarding in Canada. Bronze Star ($95.00) Bronze Star is the pre-bronze Medallion training standard and excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion. In Bronze Star, participants develop problem solving and decision-making skills as individuals and in partners. They learn CPR and develop WaterSmart confidence and the lifesaving skills needed to be their own personal lifeguard. Includes a 400m timed swim. July 9-13 Monday to Friday: 9:00am 12:00 pm 7
Bronze Medallion ($123.25) Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the 4 components of water-rescue education - judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defense methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 500 m timed swim. The course will involve classroom times and in water sessions culminating in a final exam on the final day. Must have Canadian Lifesaving Manual, available at the Water Park for $44.00. Prerequisites: Minimum 13 years of age or older or Bronze Star certification. Candidates receive Bronze Medallion medal, Bronze Medallion Award crest, certification card, CPR-A and AED with this course. July 16-20 Monday to Friday: 12:00pm 5:00 pm August 13-17 Monday to Friday: 12:00pm 5:00 pm Bronze Cross ($123.25) Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification. Includes a timed 600 m swim. The course will involve classroom times and in water sessions culminating in a final exam on the final day. Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid certifications. Summer Special Activities and Programs Can you Swim to Survive? Swimming is an essential life skill that everyone should know. Swim to Survive is a Lifesaving Society program that describes the minimum level of swimming ability needed to survive an unexpected fall into water with the following skills. Roll into Deep Water, Swim 50 Meters, Tread Water for 60 Seconds. An instructor will be available to give training and instruction on these fundamental skills every Monday and Wednesday from 4:00pm to 5:00 pm. Swimmers who successfully complete each skill will receive a certificate recognizing their achievement. This free drop in opportunity is included with your water park admission. 9

Three double lanes are provided for slow, medium, and fast swimming. Lessons: Due to the busy nature of the pool during lessons the Leisure Pool will be closed. Lane swimmers will have shared access to a portion of the Lap Pool during morning lessons. The hot areas remain open. Public Swim: During our Public Swim times everything is open and available for use: waves, three story waterslide, climbing wall, diving board, and lazy river. We do not reserve lane space during these swims as the climbing wall is open outside of the posted times. Hot Areas: Sauna, Steam Room and Hot Tub are open to the public during all open water park hours. Grey Time Slots: Water Park and hot areas closed to the public. Please note: All swim times are subject to change. Access to the pool during school hours on weekdays may be adjusted to provide children and youth with swimming and learning opportunities.
