The contest marks the 13th road date for PC on the season and the last game away from Clinton,S.C., for eight days. PRETTY COMMON... Presbyterian College and Clemson have played a couple of common opponents thus far on the season. The Tigers opened the year with three wins over Charlotte (one in extra innings). The Blue Hose dropped their only contest against the 49ers. The teams each squared off against South Carolina. Clemson lost 3-1 to the Gamecocks while PC dropped the game 6-5. BLUE HOSE PUT SCARE INTO GAMECOCKS This past Monday evening, the Blue Hose traveled to Columbia, S.C., for a contest with No. 18 South Carolina. The game was originally slated for April, but was moved up so the Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers could reschedule their game that had been postponed due to inclimate weather. PC held leads of 1-0 in the third and 5-4 through six innings before USC scored two in the seventh en route to the win. Kenny Bryant and Jesse Harmon hit homers in the game. KENNY S GOT GAME Freshman Kenny Bryant put together a solid couple of games beginning Monday at South Caorlina and going through the Charlotte contest. Despite two losses by PC, Bryant recorded a.375 batting average and a 1.125 slugging percentage. Two of Bryant s three hits were home runs - one came at USC while the other came at Charlotte. So far this season, Bryant leads the team in hits (16), home runs (four), RBI (15), total bases (33) and slugging percentage (.660) while tallying a.320 batting average. 2009 SCHEDULE Feb 20 Georgia Southern at Statesboro, Ga.
