Dear Friend of the Freedom Center, It may still be cold outside, but spring is here and it s time to think about hitting the golf links while supporting the Michigan Armed Forces Hospitality Center, Inc. (MAFHC). MAFHC s 2nd Annual Golf Fundraiser, Tee It Up for Freedom, will be held at the Whispering Willows Golf Course, 20500 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan, on Friday, July 20, 2018, with a Noon Shotgun start. This letter is a call to all golfers who played last year and also to sponsors, to thank you for your past support of MAFHC. We again ask for your help this year by signing up to play golf and/or renew your sponsorship. Hitting a few golf balls with friends - whether you ve known them forever, or only met them the day of the golf outing - is a great way to support the MI Freedom Center. You ll enjoy some great camaraderie and fresh air on the rolling fairways of Livonia s Whispering Willows. The City of Livonia has been an ardent supporter of the military and veterans for many years. Even if you don t play golf, you can still be a sponsor and maximize the benefit of your assistance to MAFHC, while making your generous support known to all who attend the outing, or those that just happen to pass by the course on the day of the event. As you already know, it is through your support and generosity that MAHFC continues to meet its goal of Serving Those Who Serve Us by providing world class reception and hospitality centers for military personnel, veterans and their families. To date, MAFHC has served well over 450,000 guests at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and the MEPS stations located in Troy and Lansing, Michigan. Serving tens of thousands of active-duty military, veterans and their families annually is an honor and a privilege, but also requires a great deal of tangible support.
