Prizes will also be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt and more. Prairie Highlands Prairie Highlands is in harmony with the rolling landscape, skirted by prairie, on the western edge of Olathe. The par 72, 7,100-yard golf course was designed truly with the golfer in mind. Ranked 29th in the nation in the Top 50 under $50 category, Prairie Highlands is a diamond in the rough. On a normal day, expect to fight strong breezes throughout, demanding a two, and sometimes three-club swing. 2 Prairie Highlands is located in southwest Olathe. Take I-35 south exiting at Old 56 Highway. Proceed 4 1/2 miles west to 151st Street. Continue west three-quarters of a mile to St. Andrews Drive. Turn right and proceed to the course.

5 Dear Friends, Plans are well underway for the 18th Annual Olathe Public Schools Foundation Golf Classic to be held June 12, 2014, at the Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe. You can be part of this great event by becoming one of our event sponsors. This is one of the best tournaments in Kansas City, said John Beverlin, Mainstreet Credit Union, and it s all for the kids. The quality of our Olathe schools affects every single one of us from our own families to the people we hire and do business with. Last year s tournament raised $81,000 toward the OPSF s commitment to provide support for Olathe education through Educator Excellence Awards, classroom grants, and the Wimmer Student Care Fund. We expanded to offer two district-wide programs: The Rachel s Challenge anti-bullying program for secondary students and the F.R.E.D. (Families Read Every Day) program for our K-5 students.
