Please Note: If you enter Class 1, the same combination may not enter Class 3 and likewise for all classes. CLASS 1 SANTA S TRUE BEGINNERS 50cm Cross poles Riders 12 and under (age on 1 st Jan 2017). Individuals & Teams. May be led, class with be split if sufficient entries. Team must be declared by Tuesday 19th December. Approximate times will be allocated. CLASS 2 CHRISTMAS TREE STAKES 60cm Riders any age. Individual & Teams. TEAMS: to consist of 3 or 4 competitors, best THREE scores to count. Team must be declared by Tuesday 18th December. Approximate times will be allocated. CLASS 3 FESTIVE FENCES 70cm Riders any age. Individual & Teams. TEAMS: to consist of 3 or 4 competitors, best THREE scores to count. Team must be declared by Tuesday 19th December. Approximate times will be allocated. CLASS 4 DENGIE DEBUT 80cm ELIGIBILITY - Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch/Centre at INTERMEDIATE or above (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed the Dengie Open Grand Prix Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers). Riders cannot compete in the Open Grand Prix Area competition if they have ridden in the Area Debut Competition. NB: You may not compete in this class wearing a festive costume CLASS 5 DENGIE NOVICE 90cm ELIGIBILITY - Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch/Centre at INTERMEDIATE or above (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed the Dengie Open Grand Prix Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. NB: You may not compete in this class wearing a festive costume CLASS 6 STOCKINGS ACCUMULATOR 100cm Riders any age. Individual & Teams. Team rules as before. Approximate times will be allocated. Accumulator with the last fence being a joker. i.e. fence 1 = 1point, fence 2 = 2 etc fence 9 = 9,points total 45 but if joker taken instead of fence 9 then this add 10 points so maximum score will be 55. In equality of scores faster time wins.
TEAMS: All Classes - Teams to consist of 3-4 competitors in the same class. All team members must be entered as individuals in that class and may also only enter one class higher up. Classes 4-5 (Dengie classes): 16 Flamstead PC - 18 others (includes paramedic) TEAM ENTRY FEES: 10 per team. Names of Team Riders must be declared on the Team Entry Form WITH PAYMENT by Tuesday 19 th December 2017 NO ENTRIES TAKEN ON THE DAY *AGE ON 01.01.2017 GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Entry to any Flamstead Branch of the Pony Club competition authorises photographs/videos/other images taken by outside agencies/official Pony Club photographers at the competition to be published in the press and on the internet for publicity purposes. 2. All competitions will be run in accordance with the current guidelines set by the Pony Club 2017 modified where applicable. 3. No competitor will be allowed to compete unless their riding hat complies with the current Pony Club standards. (See www.pcuk.org) All competitors hats to be tagged by THEIR own branch. 4. Objections to the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes of the incident with a 20 deposit. Deposit will be returned if objection is upheld. 5. The decision of the Judge is final. A competitor may be disqualified for the improper use of whips, spurs or bad language. Spurs may only be worn by Pony Club members who have written consent from their District Commissioner or who hold their B Test and evidence. 6. Neither the organiser, landowner, nor any person acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 7. No horse or pony under 5 years of age may compete. 8. All dogs must be on a lead (extendable leads locked short) at all times. 9. No mucking out of horse-boxes and trailers is permitted in the lorry/car park.
10. All ages as on 1st January 2017 11. No entry fee will be refunded unless accompanied by a doctor s or vet s certificate. 12. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or vary or cancel the event without explanation. 13. IT IS THE COMPETITOR S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR DRESS AND TACK COMPLIES WITH PONY CLUB REGULATIONS 2017 FOR THE DISCIPLINE THEY ARE TAKING PART IN. COMPETITORS FOUND IN BREACH OF THESE REGULATIONS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED AT ANY TIME DURING OR AFTER THE COMPETITION.
