We congratulate the following boys and girls who have been invited:- Football Netball Under 12 s Max MacIntosh Charlotte Todd Noah McIntosh Jayde McSparron Ned Nash Paetyn Jarred Tom McKechnie Taylah Ingram Tessa Canny Under 14 s Callum Mc Kay Chelsea Amarant Joel O Connell Eva Gillett Lachlan Chivers Hayley Ryan Luke Currie-Jones Isabel Fraser Will Kain Under 16 s Harrison Robertson Courtney O Connell Jono Neville Jemma Mirrabella Todd Lawrence Maddi Thomas Roisin Fradd Sarah McCabe Best & Fairest Presentation Functions Under 10 s: Under 12 s and 14 s: Under 16.5 s Saturday 10 th August at 3.30pm following the round robin Friday 9 th August at the clubrooms from 6.00pm Sunday 1st September at 6.30pm at the clubrooms The cost for the Presentation Dinner for the 16.5 s boys and 16.5s netball girl s teams is $20 per person which is a fully catered 2 course meal.

Parents are most welcome but numbers will need to cap numbers to parents, players and their partners (if applicable) due to extra numbers and we ask that you indicate your attendance asap to your coaches/team managers. Best and Fairest Voting Several years ago we changed the nature of our Best & Fairest voting structure whereby each player is now rated out of 10 for each game they play. The votes are done by the coaches based on individual ability, time on ground, impact on the game and following of coach s instruction. At the end of the game the coach and their assistant will sit down and judge each player as above. In the event that the coach s child plays in that team then the assistant will do the votes for this player. The votes are then sealed and given to a volunteer who has no affiliation with that age group to record. At the end of the last home and away game the volunteer advises the coach of the winner and runners up. In the reserve football grades ONLY, we count the players best 11 of 14 games (due to Golden Point, other wise it would 12 of 16 games). This is done to encourage players to play at the highest level and focus on development of their skill and ability under more pressure and higher standard of football. In the netball grades as all girls are rostered off for a couple of games, we count the players best 10 of 14 games (due to Golden Point, other wise it would 12 of 16 games). This is done to ensure that the girls who may be rostered off more than others are not unfairly disadvantaged. Milestones Congratulations to the following boys who will play their 50 th games next weekend for the club:- Brad Castleman 50 Ben Maher 50 Ned Nash 50 Mars U/16.5 Seniors RESULTS Football East Ballarat 3.2, 5.3, 7.6, 11.14 (80) Lake Wendouree 1.2, 3.3, 4.5, 4.5 (29) GOALS: Brandon Quayle 2, Mitchell Crosier 1, Harrison Robertson 1 BEST: Jed Shearer, Hamish Bennett, Harrison Robertson, Mitchell Crosier, Paul O'Connell, Luke Wren
