All things bright and beautiful All archers great and small I thought I was wonderful But I'm no good at all I got books from the library With help from Len and Ron I wouldn't really mind too much If I got my arrows on. I went and bought a new bow A quite good one at that I practised in the garden I missed and hit the cat. My arrows fly off to the left And sometimes to the right I can't find my anchor point I've searched all day and night. I try to be like others And always do my best It's really quite a good sport Does wonders for your chest. I travelled to gobowen I was sick with fright I didn't do too badly I shot and got worst white. One day I'll get better And get the perfect end It's made mummy penniless And driven her round the bend. I want to be an archer And strive to find my style I find I'm often thinking Is it really worthwhile? The one-day I made it Watched by Len and Vi I won the handicap western I think I'm going to cry Thank you all for listening To my tale of woe If I don't get my first class I'm off to sell me bow All things bright and beautiful All archers great and small I know I'm not that wonderful But I'm not that bad at all... 1
