Along with designated sports units, students will participate in weekly personal fitness activities that will include cardiovascular and weight training. Content Standard 2: A physically educated person demonstrates understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities. Content Standard 3: A physically educated person participates regularly in lifelong physical activity. Content Standard 4: A physically educated person achieves and maintains a healthenhancing level of physical fitness. Content Standard 5: A physically educated person exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings. Test out requirements: o Students will need to pass all sections of the Fitnessgram testing. For specific requirements based on an individual s age & gender in each category please visit the following website: www.fitnessgram.net Aerobic Capacity, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility and Body Composition. Students will also need to pass a test on all of the rules to the team sports listed on the previous page. The final test score MUST be 78% or higher to successfully pass.
