Speed & Agility Camp 1 Day Camps Date/Time: June 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29 July 10,11,12,13,17,18,19,20,24,25,26,27 9:00 10:15 a.m. A sign up sheet will be sent electronically for selection of days Fee: $20 each date, Buy 5 dates, get 6th date FREE Where: Gym, outdoor fields 4 Day Camp Date/Time: July 31 st August 3 rd 9:00 10:15 a.m. Fee: $80 Where: Gym, outdoor fields About: Students who attend this camp will work on all aspects of conditioning, including but not limited to speed training, agility, quickness, and anaerobic conditioning. This camp incorporates sprint mechanics and footwork as it relates to various cone, ladder, band and sprint drills, first step quickness and lateral movements. Students will be exposed to different resisted movements as well as basic agility and plyometrics. Great for sports that need high levels of conditioning like Soccer, Basketball, etc. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, shoes for indoor and outdoor, socks, water bottle, and a readiness to prepare for your upcoming season. Boys Basketball Age/Grade: Entering grades 3 8 Date/Time: July 10-13, 2017 9:30 12:00 p.m. Where: Main gym About: The focus of the Parkway Christian boys basketball camp is to provide every participant the opportunity to develop his fundamental skills in ball handling, passing, dribbling, footwork and rebounding, as well as individual and team defense. We will accomplish this through a high-energy and challenging week of hard work. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, gym shoes, socks and water bottle.

Girls Basketball Age/Grade: Entering grade 3-8 Date/Time: June 26 29, 2017 1:00 3:00 p.m. Where: Main gym About: Parkway girls basketball camp teaches young players the fundamentals of the game. Those new to the sport will learn the skills of ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding and defense, while more experienced players will be challenged to further develop their competency in those areas. While great focus is paid to individual skill work, ample time is devoted to a variety of competitions. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, gym shoes, socks and water bottle. Cheerleading Session 1 Age/Grade: Entering grades 9 12 and enrolled at Parkway Christian Date/Time: August 3 6, 2017 All Day Fee: $315.00 Total. $100 non refundable deposit due June 7 th. Balance due July 14th Where: Eastern Michigan About: High School Girls Team Camp at Eastern Michigan. Camp includes Student Safety, Spotting Tips and Techniques, Creative and Innovative Stunts, Sideline Material, Customized Half-Time Cheer, Stunt and Skills Drills, and Leadership Building. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, basketball shoes, socks for four days and water bottle. Session 2 Age/Grade: Entering grades 6 8 Date/Time: August 3 6, 2017 1:00 3:00 p.m Where: Gym About: Girls attending cheerleading camp will learn basic techniques for jumping, tumbling and stunting. They will be taught numerous chants and cheers, and also will have the opportunity to learn motion placement and execution. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, gym shoes, and water bottle.

Boys Football Session 1 Age/Grade: Entering grades 5-8 Date/Time: June 19 22, 2017 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Where: Practice Football Field / Gym (rain days) Session 2 Boys Football Age/Grade: Entering grades 9-12 Date/Time: July 24 28, 2017 4:00 7:00 p.m (4:00 6 p.m. on Wednesday) Where: Practice Football Field / Gym (rain days) About: At this four day non-contact camp, campers will learn about the game of football. Campers will be placed in two different groups based on grade and experience to meet the competitive level of each athlete. Offensive and defensive instruction will include technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, offensive backs, and defensive backs. Campers will rotate through stations to provide an opportunity to experience various positions. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, gym shoes, football shoes, socks, and water bottle.

Soccer Co-Ed Age/Grade: Entering grades K 6 Date/Time: July 24 27, 2017 9:00 11:00 a.m. Where: Middle School Soccer Field Girls Date/Time: June 19 22, 2017 12:00 2:00 p.m. Where: Middle School Soccer Field Boys Date/Time: July 24 27, 2017 12:00 2:00 p.m. Where: MS Soccer Field About: Players attending Parkway Christian soccer camp will be challenged to take their game to a higher level. Players can expect competitive mind-body workouts that will help them enhance technical skills, learn new strategies, problem-solve within the flow of play, and improve conditioning. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, soccer shoes, soccer socks, shin guards, any other necessary soccer equipment, towel and water bottle. Girls Volleyball Age/Grade: Entering grade 5-8 Date/Time: July 10-13, 2017 11:00 a.m. 1:00 PM Where: Main gym About: Parkway girls volleyballl camp teaches young players the fundamentals of the game. Those new to the sport will learn the skills of setting, digging, spiking and serving. while more experienced players will be challenged to further develop their competency in those areas. While great focus is paid to individual skill work, ample time is devoted to a variety of competitions. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, knee pads are highly suggested, gyms shoes, socks and water bottle.

Boys Weight Lifting Age/Grade: Entering grade 9 12 at Parkway Christian School Date/Time: M, W, F beginning June 12 th. Excluding July 3 rd -7 th 4:00 6:00 p.m. Fee: $0 Where: Weight Room What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, gyms shoes, socks and water bottle. Girls Weight Lifting Age/Grade: Entering grade 9 12 at Parkway Christian School Date/Time: Beginning June 12 th. Contact tkocik@parkwaychristian.org Fee: $0 Where: Weight Room What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, gyms shoes, socks and water bottle SUMMER CAMP POLICIES Refund/Cancellation Policy 100% refund/transfer if Parkway Christian cancels program. Refund/transfer requests must be submitted in writing to the appropriate camp manager. Please note our new cancellation policy. A 50% fee of the cost of the camp shall be applied to an individual who cancels. Lunches / Snacks Where noted, each child is responsible for providing his/her own nutritious lunch/snack including a drink to camp daily. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available for camp use. Clothes Children should dress appropriately for camp. Play clothes that can get dirty, as well as sportsappropriate shoes and socks are required. Photography Waiver Pictures may be taken of your child while participating in summer camp activities and may be used for program publicity. Basic Facility Rules No unauthorized running inside facilities. No cellphone usage by campers during sessions. No foul and abusive language toward instructors or other campers. No eating or drinking except in designated areas. No toys, games, CD players or MP3s allowed in camps. Return borrowed supplies at the end of the day. Campers should not bring money with them unless given permission to do so. Parkway Christian staff and instructors are not responsible for money brought by campers.

Sick Children If a camper is not feeling well enough to participate in the summer camp program, the camper should stay home. Any child who has the following symptoms within a 24-hour period is not permitted to attend the program: temperature over 100 ; vomiting; diarrhea; eye irritation; sore throat; rash. If a child becomes sick while at camp, the child s parent/guardian will be asked to pick up his/her child. If the parent/guardian cannot be reached, the emergency contact will be called. Drop-off and Pick-up Parents/guardians are required to physically enter the camp facility to pick up/drop off. If someone other than the child s guardian will be picking him or her up, let the camp instructor know in writing that morning. Lost Items Parkway Chrsitian is not responsible for any personal items lost or stolen at our camps. Lockers will be available, but participants should bring a lock if they wish to secure items. Discipline Policy Parkway Christian staff are dedicated to a discipline policy that is neither humiliating nor degrading. The school reserves the right to remove a child from the program at any time. If a child continues to break the rules after repeated warnings the parent/guardian will be asked to meet with the child s instructor to discuss other ways to help guide their child toward positive behavior. The program reserves the right to dismiss any child from the program who is harmful or a threat to the well being of other children or staff.
