Page 2 Student ipad Checkout Katy ISD is excited to provide the opportunity for our students to take home a digital device for learning. A student can check out an ipad to use for a school assignment for a one week period, excluding the Winter and Spring Breaks. If a student needs WiFi access, a Hot Spot is also available for checkout for a five day period. The student s parent or legal guardian must first meet with the assistant principal to review the KISD Student/Parent Equipment Use Agreement and sign it along with the student. This document will be kept on file for the current school year. The student will be instructed on proper use and care of the borrowed equipment. Please call the school at 281-237-8000 to set up an appointment. Connect with Us-McMeans Junior High Join us on Facebook and Twitter! Page 4 Katy ISD Extends Free Meals for Students As the rebuilding process takes place in homes and neighborhoods across our district, Katy ISD will continue to seek means to provide support to those affected by Harvey. This week, Katy ISD was granted permission by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) to extend our free breakfast and lunch service to ALL Katy ISD students through October 31. This initiative was previously designated for the month of September. However, because so many Katy ISD families were impacted by the storm, and recovery efforts or ongoing, we requested a program extension that was approved by the TDA. Should you have any questions about the October free breakfast and lunch program,
