Any questions please email surreyrideforlife2018@gmail.com Acknowledgements The ride could not take place without the kind permission and continued support of Gayle Bulmer and all the dedicated staff and volunteers of LGB and Surrey Wildlife Trust THE RIDE will start and finish at LGB Equestrian Centre a site with ample parking, toilets, tack shop and refreshment facilities. The ride is a circular route of either, 10 miles for experienced riders, or 7 miles for novice riders, of well drained sandy heathland with beautiful scenery. The ride is well marked with direction arrows and marshals will be on hand to assist if necessary. There is some road work at the beginning and end of the ride. This will be well sign posted and marshalled for everyone s safety. Hi-viz is recommended, pink hi viz is preferred! All taking part will receive a rosette ALL SPONSORSHIP MONIES MUST BE PAID IN CASH ON THE DAY CATERING will be on site for all your refreshment needs. The organisers will not be responsible for any damage, loss, or any injury whatsoever, which is suffered by or to any entrant, their property or servants which may arise directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Surrey Ride for Life Charity Fun Ride. It is a condition of acceptance of any entry that every entrant shall indemnify the organisers and
landowners against any claim or damage, loss or injury which results directly or indirectly from any action or negligence on their part. 2. All riders to be correctly dressed and hard hats to be worn when mounted with chin straps fastened. 3. Whilst 'think pink' is encouraged, please be mindful of nervous or green horses on the course 4. For everyone s benefit please follow direction of the marshals 5. The ride has access to some private land for this event for one day only. No access is permitted any other time. 6. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times 7. Participants are asked to co- operate for the safety of all concerned. 8. The event is held subject to weather permitting. 9. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the ride. 10. The organising committee reserve the right to refuse entry to any horse/pony which is in their opinion, unsound or in an unfit condition 11. Horse/pony must be aged four years or over to take part. 12. Sorry Only well behaved stallions. 13. Riders must not deviate from the course. 14. Any rider found to be riding in a dangerous or reckless manner will be stopped and disqualified. 15. The decision of the Organising Committee on any matter shall be final. 16. Health and Safety. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards 17. Horse passports may be required to be seen by the secretary, so please bring it with you. It is also an offence to travel your horse without one. 18. Body protectors are recommended when mounted 19. Please clear up around your lorry when you leave wheelbarrows and forks/brooms can be borrowed from the yard 20. HAVE FUN!! PLEASE NOTE: - Horses sporting a red ribbon indicates this horse could be liable to kick and if sporting a green ribbon this horse is a newcomer and could be excitable.
