Schedule of Competitions Saturday 27 th August Class 1 Start time approximately 9.30 The Pony Club Regional Team Dressage Championships Dressage Test - Pony Club Grassroots Test 2016 Open to Teams that have qualified at their Area Dressage Competition, members can be of any age with any size of horse or pony. At the time of qualifying rider must never previously have represented their Branch or Centre at Pony Club Novice level or above in Dressage, Show Jumping or Eventing Combination never to have competed above Prelim level with BD See main Pony Club website for full rules Entry fee 100 per team Team Rosettes 1 st -10 th place, sashes and trophies, Prizes in Kind presented Equiboodle. Rules and Conditions of Entry Your entry is deemed to include acceptance of these rules 1. The competition will be run in accordance with the relevant Pony Club Rules 2016 (The Rules ) 2. Each District Commissioner is required to certify the eligibility of each horse and rider 3. The Judges decision is final. 4. Protests and Objections - please see Rule 47 in Pony Club Dressage Rule Book 2016 & Rule 43 in Pony Club Show Jumping Rule book 2016 5. s/ponies competing may only be ridden by their competitor. 6. No horse or pony may be ridden more than once in each class. 7. Please note that no commanders are allowed in Class 1 8. Spurs may be worn by full B test holders (please wear appropriate felt) or with the permission of the relevant District Commissioner. Written proof of this permission must be carried and presented at the tack check. 9. No horse/pony under the age of 4 years may compete. Entries 1. Telephone entries or entries without the appropriate fee will not be accepted. 2. In the event of cancellation, 5 of the entry fee will be retained to defray costs. Please send a SAE in the event of cancellation for the remaining entry fee to be returned. 3. After the relevant closing date no substitution may be made of horses or riders except in the case of illness, lameness or other unavoidable circumstances which must be certified in writing by the relevant District Commissioner to the secretary. No substitutions can be made after the competition has started. and Public Safety 1. All hats must have a certified Pony Club tag. This will be checked by the secretary before a competitor number is issued. 2. When not competing all horses/ponies must be kept to the horse box park or collecting rings. They must not be exercised in the car/lorry park, or among spectators. No lunging in the lorry park. s/ponies tied to trailers or lorries must not be left unattended. 3. All dogs should be kept on a short lead at all times. The owner of a loose dog will be fined 20 with proceeds donated to the Air Ambulance. Please clean up after your dog. Event Liability 1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
