FDOT Broward County Traffic Report June 29, 2018 through July 6, 2018 FORT LAUDERDALE -- Construction and maintenance-related lane closures on state highways in Broward County are expected during the week of June 29 through July 6, 2018, with the exception of Wednesday July 4. There is no planned road work on July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Weather permitting, work will be done at the following locations throughout the county. Interstate 95 1.95 from south of Broward Boulevard to north of Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale Three northbound lanes of I-95 will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The first two lanes will close at 9 p.m., the third lane at 10 p.m. and the fourth lane at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. All lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m. Three southbound lanes of I-95 will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The first two lanes will close at 9 p.m., the third lane at 10 p.m. and the fourth lane at 11 p.m. All lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m. I-95 in both directions, from south of Davie Boulevard to north of Commercial Boulevard, will have intermittent shoulder and ramp shoulder closures, as needed, daily and nightly. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Commercial Boulevard will be closed as needed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Cypress Creek Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Description: This project will extend the High Occupancy Toll lanes from north of Commercial Boulevard to south of SW 10 th Street in Broward County. The scope of work includes adding a lane and converting the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes to create two express lanes in each direction. Other work includes: installing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and

tolling equipment; widening bridges; and installing noise barrier walls at locations along I-95 northbound between Atlantic Boulevard and Sample Road, and along I-95 southbound north of Sample Road. Contract time for this $154 million project began Friday, January 8, 2016, with design activities currently underway. Construction began Sunday, August 14, 2016. Completion is expected in spring 2020. 2.I-95 from north of Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale to south of SW 10 th Street in Deerfield Beach Three northbound lanes of I-95 between Commercial Boulevard and SW 10 th Street will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The first lane will close at 10:30 p.m., the second lane at 11:30 p.m. and the third lane at 12:30 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. Three southbound lanes of I-95 between SW 10 th Street and Commercial Boulevard will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The first lane will close at 10:30 p.m., the second lane at 11:30 p.m. and the third lane at 12:30 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. One lane in each direction of Atlantic Boulevard from Andrews Avenue to N. Dixie Highway will be closed daily, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. One lane in each direction of Copans Road between North Andrews Avenue and North Dixie Highway will be closed daily, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. McNab Road at I-95 will have two lanes closed in each direction, 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. McNab Road at I-95 will undergo a full closure for bridge construction, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via N. Andrews Avenue, Cypress Creek Road and S. Dixie Highway. Westbound traffic will be detoured via S. Dixie Highway, Cypress Creek Road, and N. Andrews Avenue. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Atlantic Boulevard at I-95 will undergo a full closure for bridge construction, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Eastbound Atlantic Boulevard traffic will be detoured via I-95 southbound and Cypress Creek Road. Westbound Atlantic Boulevard traffic will be detoured via I-95 northbound and Copans Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. 15 th Street at I-95 will undergo a full closure for bridge construction, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Eastbound 15 th Street traffic will be detoured south on Andrews Avenue, east on Atlantic Boulevard and north on NW 6 th Avenue. Westbound 15 th Street traffic will be detoured south on NW 6 th Avenue, west on Atlantic Boulevard, and north on Andrews Avenue. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. I-95 Full Closure Advanced Notice: I-95 southbound lanes at SW 10 th Street will be closed to traffic overnight, 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Monday night, July 9 for overhead sign structure installation. Motorists will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to SW 10 th Street, Military Trail and Sample Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. I-95 Full Closure Advanced Notice: I-95 northbound lanes at Cypress Creek Road will be closed to traffic overnight, 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Thursday night, July 12 for overhead sign structure installation. Motorists will be detoured via the I-95 northbound

exit ramp to Cypress Creek Road, South Dixie Highway and Atlantic Boulevard. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Long-term Full Closure Notice: The Park & Ride entrance from the eastbound exit ramp to Cypress Creek Road is closed completely, reopening 5 a.m., Tuesday morning, August 7. Traffic will be detoured east along Cypress Creek Road to a U-Turn at NE 7 th Ave/Corporate Drive, and then west along Cypress Creek Road to the Park and Ride. Long-term Full Closure Notice: The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from the Cypress Creek Park & Ride Lot is closed completely, reopening 5 a.m., Tuesday morning, August 7. Traffic will be detoured via West Cypress Creek Road or North Andrews Avenue and I- 95. FHP will on site to assist motorists. Description: This project will extend the High Occupancy Toll lanes from north of Commercial Boulevard to south of SW 10 th Street in Broward County. The scope of work includes adding a lane and converting the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes to create two express lanes in each direction. The outside lanes of I-95 southbound from Hillsboro Boulevard to SW 10 th Street will be closed Sunday night through Thursday night with the first lane closing at 9 p.m., the second lane closing at 10 p.m. and the third lane, if necessary, closing at 12:30 a.m. until 5 a.m. Two westbound lanes of SW 10 th Street at I-95 will be closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The sidewalk on the north side of SW 10 th Street between SW 12 th Avenue and SW Natura Boulevard is closed through July 2018. Signs are in place to direct pedestrians to the south sidewalk. Description: Construction on this 1.5-mile project began Monday, January 26, 2015. Work consists of widening southbound I-95 to add an auxiliary lane from the Hillsboro Boulevard entrance ramp to the SW 10 th Street exit ramp, widening the existing southbound I-95 exit ramp to SW 10 th Street, addition of a free flow right turn lane to westbound SW 10 th Street, widening of westbound SW 10 th Street to add an acceleration lane, utility relocation, milling and resurfacing, bridge widening, installation of barrier walls, curbs, sidewalks, guardrail, drainage, overhead signs, signing and pavement markings, signals, lighting, and retaining walls. This is the first of five interchange improvement projects throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Cost/Completion: Construction cost for all five projects is $32.5 million. Completion in summer 2018. 4.I-95 from south of SW 10 th Street to south of Glades Road Traffic Impacts: I-95 will have two lanes closed in each direction nightly, as needed, between Hillsboro Boulevard and Palmetto Park Road, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m. and the second lane closing at 10:30 p.m., until 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, through July. Camino Real between SW 15 th Avenue and SW 19 th Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction, 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, July 1 through 11:59 p.m. Monday night, July 2. Description: This 4.8-mile project will extend the High Occupancy Toll lanes from south of SW 10 th Street to south of Glades Road in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The scope of work includes widening and converting the existing I-95 HOV Lanes to Managed Lanes which will result in two tolled Express Lanes in each direction; the number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Other activities include reconstruction of I-95 on the northbound and southbound approaches to the Hillsboro Canal bridges, milling and resurfacing of I-95, construction of northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes between Hillsboro Boulevard and Palmetto Park Road, and construction of a northbound auxiliary lane between the SW 10 th Street entrance ramp and the Hillsboro Boulevard exit ramp. Other project improvements include: guardrail, barrier wall, attenuators, shoulder gutters, drainage, dredging of Hillsboro Canal, bridge widenings at Palmetto Park Road and Camino Real, bridge replacement at Hillsboro Canal, temporary and permanent retaining walls, noise wall construction, sign structures, portable traffic monitoring sites, toll gantry installation, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) installation, signing and pavement markings; Express Lane markers, lighting, ramp metering signals, utility relocation, and landscape relocation. Contract time for this $102 million project began Monday, July 10, 2017, with design and construction activities currently underway. Work is being performed by Prince Contracting, LLC and is expected to be completed spring 2022. Interstate 75 5.Segment AB from NW 170 in Miami-Dade County to south of Miramar Parkway in Broward County Two lanes in each direction of I-75 from Miami Gardens Drive to NW 170 Street will be closed nightly Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Two southbound lanes of I-75 from Florida s Turnpike to Miami Gardens Drive will be closed nightly Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Two southbound lanes of I-75 from Miramar Parkway to Snake Creek Canal will be closed nightly Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Two northbound lanes of I-75 from Florida s Turnpike to Miramar Parkway will be closed nightly Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

One southbound ramp lane of I-75 from Snake Creek Canal to Florida s Turnpike will be closed nightly Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. One northbound lane of I-75 from north of the Miami Gardens Drive exit ramp to south of Florida s Turnpike will be closed daily Monday, July 2 through Friday, July 6 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. One lane in each direction of I-75 from Snake Creek Canal to Miramar Parkway will be closed nightly Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. One lane in each direction of Florida s Turnpike from Red Road to the I-75 Interchange will be closed Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. One lane in each direction of Florida s Turnpike from I-75 Interchange to Okeechobee Road will be closed Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. One northbound ramp lane of Florida s Turnpike from Okeechobee Road to I-75 Interchange will be closed Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. One lane in each direction of I-75 from NW 170 Street to Florida s Turnpike will be closed daily Sunday, July 1 through Thursday, July 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. One southbound lane of Florida s Turnpike from north of the Snake Creek Canal to Snake Creek Canal will be closed from 11:59 a.m. Friday, June 29 to 6 a.m. Saturday, June 30. And from 11 p.m. Saturday, June 30 to 9 a.m. Sunday, July 1. The I-75 southbound exit ramp to Florida s Turnpike southbound (Exit 5) will be closed 11 p.m. Monday, July 2 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 3. During this closure, southbound I-75 motorists wishing to take Florida s Turnpike southbound (Exit 5) will be detoured off I-75 at Miramar Parkway East (Exit 7), travel east on Miramar Parkway to SR 823/Red Road, then turn right on SR 823/Red Road to access the southbound ramp to Florida s Turnpike. In the event of inclement weather or other unexpected conditions this work will be rescheduled. 6.Segment C - I-75 from South of Miramar Parkway to South of Sheridan Street in Broward County All lanes are open. 7.Segment D - I-75 from South of Sheridan Street to North of Griffin Road All lanes are open. 8.Segment E - I-75 from North of Griffin Road to I-595 in Broward County Two southbound lanes of I-75 from north of Indian Trace to just north of Royal Palm Boulevard will be closed Monday, July 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. I-595 Express One right lane on northbound SR 7/US 441 to westbound I-595 will be closed from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday, July 1, 2018 for bridge inspection. Northeast Broward

9. Broward Boulevard Improvements and Bridge Replacement Project in Fort Lauderdale Up to two lanes in each direction of Broward Boulevard from US 1 to NW 18 Avenue (500 feet maximum at a time) will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage improvements, curb and gutter installation, sidewalk construction, and street light pole installation. Portions of the sidewalk on either side of the road from NW 18 Avenue to US 1 are closed for construction. Signs are in place to direct pedestrians to the open sidewalk on the opposite side of the road. There will be no lane closures on Wednesday in observance of Independence Day. Description: Project improvements include replacing the bridge over the North Fork of the New River, removing old asphalt and resurfacing the roadway, upgrading crosswalk ramps to meet ADA requirements, upgrading signs and pavement markings, relocating bus shelters, adding roadway lighting, installing drainage structures, upgrading signalized intersections to mast arms, reconstructing sidewalks, and widening roadway to add bike lanes in each direction. Cost/Completion: $16 million / Summer 2018 10.Hillsboro Boulevard Improvements Project from Military Trail to US 1 in Deerfield Beach Up to two lanes in each direction of Hillsboro Boulevard from Military Trail to US 1 will be closed nightly between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. through mid-july for crosswalk improvements and miscellaneous construction activities. There will be no overnight lane closures on Tuesday or Wednesday in observance of Independence Day. Description: Project improvements include improving the off-ramp from northbound I-95 to eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard including adding a new signalized intersection and adding second lane to increase capacity, relocating and upgrading drainage structures, upgrading crosswalk ramps to meet ADA requirements, constructing new stamped asphalt crosswalks from east of Natura Boulevard to US 1, upgrading existing pedestrian signals to countdown timers, upgrading signalized intersections to mast arms, installing new decorative lighting, constructing new medians east of SE 2 Avenue, removing old asphalt and resurfacing the roadway, upgrading signs and pavement markings to reflect the new roadway configuration as follows: (1) Military Trail to Dixie Highway - Three 11-foot lanes in each direction (2) NE / SE 2 Avenue to US 1 - Two 11-foot lanes in each direction, and adding a bike lane or sharrows in each direction as follows: (1) Military Trail to NW/SW 2 Terrace - 4-foot bike lane (2) NW / SW 2 Terrace to NE / SE 2 Avenue - Sharrow symbols to designate that the outside travel lane will be shared with vehicles (3) NE / SE 2 Avenue to US 1-7-foot bike lane.
