With this comes a larger demand for textbooks for military veterans, active duty members, spouses, and dependents. The results from this tournament will make a huge difference for the Veteran and Military Affairs Office and The University of Alabama students by helping buy more textbooks for the textbook library at Houser Hall. The VMA office is so much more than just a connection between UA students and the VA. It s a place where all veterans, active duty members, spouses, and dependents can go to feel welcome and comfortable. Through my short time here on campus, not only has the VMA office provided me with free textbooks through the Textbooks for Troops library but they have also given me another place to call home. Being a military child growing up, I never really had a home because we moved around so much. The VMA office has study rooms, a computer lab, a kitchen, a lounge, showers and so much more.
