MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS Coyote Fans, On behalf of the University of South Dakota Athletic Department and our 370 student-athletes, thank you for your support of Coyote Athletics and the Howling Pack. This past year was a record year for the Howling Pack, surpassing $900,000 which was an 80% increase over 2013. With that outpouring of support in 2014, I am confident we will surpass our $1 million Next Level campaign goal in 2015, one year ahead of schedule. We are committed to growing the tremendous participation and encouraging everyone to become a Howling Pack member. Our student-athletes give 110% every day in the classroom, in training and in competition. This year I ask you to do the same with your 2015 Howling Pack membership. If you are a first-time member, please consider joining at your desired membership level plus 10%. Renewing members, please consider increasing your 2014 donation by 10% if you are unable to jump to the Next Level of membership. ABOUT THE HOWLING PACK WHAT IS THE HOWLING PACK? The Howling Pack provides annual scholarship dollars to student-athletes at the University of South Dakota. Through a combination of generous financial giving, spirited social functions and boundless personal encouragement, the Howling Pack is committed to the positive development of University of South Dakota athletics. Why is the Howling Pack Important? The Howling Pack helps the athletic department provide nearly $4 million annually in student-athlete scholarships and program support. By becoming a member, you help provide the resources necessary to prepare our student-athletes for success in both competition and in the classroom. The growth of the Howling Pack is crucial to the continued success and sustainability of our athletic department. new COYOTE POINTS system Coyote Points are accumulated based on current year s giving, total gifts supporting athletics, season ticket purchases and being a former student-athlete. Please be aware the way that Coyote Points are being awarded has changed this year. Below is an explanation of the changes: Financial Support 2015-16 Howling Pack gift Lifetime gifts to Athletics 10 points per $100 given 1 point per $100 given Loyalty Consecutive years giving to the Howling Pack Football season tickets Basketball season tickets Consecutive years purchasing football season tickets Consecutive years purchasing men s basketball season tickets Consecutive years purchasing women s basketball season tickets 1 point per year 1 point per season ticket 1 point per season ticket 1 point per year 1 point per year 1 point per year Affinity Varsity Letter Winner (one time) Alumni Member (one time) 10 points 1 point Coyote Points will be reset and calculated based upon the new system above. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: A: When must donations be made to qualify for benefits? Donor benefits are based on annual giving totals from Jan.1 Dec. 31, with specific deadlines for season, single game and away game tickets for football, men s and women s basketball. Q: A: How do I secure tickets to Dakota Days and other premiere games? The only way to guarantee tickets is to join the Howling Pack or purchase season tickets. Q: A: Can I make one payment for 2015-16 Howling Pack gift and season tickets? Yes. By using our newly implemented NeuLion software, you can make one payment for both your Howling Pack gift and your season tickets. Please go to www.goyotes.com/tickets or call the Coyote Ticket Office at 605-677-5959. If you choose not to make the purchase electronically, then we respectfully ask that you write two separate checks. Howling Pack gifts are made payable to USD Foundation (Howling Pack in memo) and season tickets are made payable to USD Athletics (tickets in memo). Q: A: I am still making payments on my 2014-15 gift. Do I need to wait until all payments have been made before making my 2015-16 gift? No. As long as a pledge is made, payments are not required until your 2014-15 pledge is complete. I am truly blessed to be part of the USD Track and Field team.
