2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development HLPF 2018 Voluntary National Reviews / VNRs Voluntary common reporting guidelines for VNRs https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/documents/17346 Updated_Voluntary_Guidelines.pdf VNRs are an important element of the review process VNRs should be rigorous and informed by indicators of high quality and country-led evaluation VNRs' guidelines provide a framework for certain common elements within the report and for comparability while allowing for flexibility so countries can adapt their own initiatives VNRs are available online and look different Implementation is more important than the report

2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development HLPF 2018 Voluntary National Reviews / VNRs Guidelines / Statistical annex: Countries may include an annex with data, using the global Sustainable Development Goal indicators and adding priority indicators identified at the regional and national levels where appropriate. They may highlight whether statistics were collected from the national statistical system and pinpoint major gaps in official statistics on indicators.

At national level in Switzerland the monitoring of the SDGs is ensured by the MONET - system of sustainable development indicators. It has been extended to monitor the Swiss targets of the 2030 Agenda. These indicators, published online and regularly updated, feed into national and international reports on the implementation of the Agenda by Switzerland. 9
