Dear Strong and Courageous Unit, I am so excited to begin this month. November is one of our hottest months of the year. Not only are holiday sales in full swing, but women are thrilled to hostess classes for holiday makeover tips and earn free products for gifts. It s the most wonderful time of the year! Always take the time to contact your customers this month and let them know how grateful you are to be working with them too. Thanksgiving was Mary Kay s favorite holiday. It s all about being thankful for the amazing gifts we each have in our lives and making a point of both noticing and sharing those grateful moments. The holiday season can be super busy, and it s time to work as efficiently as possible. As we add things into our lives this season, consider the differences between a baker and a cook. A baker takes the time to measure everything- a teaspoon of this, tablespoon of that; each ingredient is added mindfully. When cooking, you can do the opposite- a sprinkle of this and a dash of that, and each time you taste, you can tweak things. Amounts aren t that important, and it s personal- if you love spicy, you ll add a handful of jalapenos, and if you don t, you ll skip them. Our lives are the same way this season. We need to add things in like a baker, intentionally adding important things and weighing each decision. If we add an extra tablespoon of baking powder, the cake will be out of balance. It s the same with our lives- too much of one thing can cause an imbalance, and the little things can add up fast. Life already adds unexpected ingredients into our lives- and sometimes those things are like adding sprinklesfun, surprising and the perfect finishing touch to an awesome day. Other times those unexpected moments can be stressful and difficult. It s up to us to measure and often remeasure our days so that each thing has a place and the most important things are always the priority. Remember, God first, family second, career third. Our theme this month is selling. Mary Kay always said, Nothing happens until somebody sells something. By working our business full circle, we can make this our best month yet. Book those classes; coach them to success, sell lots of products, and then interview the hostess since she ll see how successful a Mary Kay Consultant can be. I know you can work in balance and make this month amazing. I am so grateful you re a part of our unit. Each member brings something special to our community of women. Thank you for sharing your life, successes, and even failures with me. We make each other better and better, and I can t wait to celebrate even greater successes this year than ever before!
