In Landrake there is a popular primary school (OFSTED rated Outstanding ), shop and pub, whilst Tideford possesses a butcher s shop and pub and both have active communities. There is private education available at Mount Kelly in Tavistock. Within easy reach to the north east is the Dartmoor National Park renowned for its spectacular scenery and providing many and varied opportunities for walking, riding and fishing.
