Klondike What is the Klondike Derby? The Klondike Derby is an event that challenges the boys by giving them a problem or situation to solve. This year the theme for each of the stations is related to the Winter Olympic Games. Patrols of 4-8 Scouts pull a dog sled, full of required articles, from station to station. At each station, they will compete in a game with a Scout skill involved. They will be scored either on time or abilities. The Scouts are given points based not only on accomplishment of the games, but on patrol spirit, team unity, and other Scout qualities.
