Minutes from June 2018 Meeting The EAS meeting was held on Thurs June 7th 2018 at Sir Gooneys. Many thanks to Julio for organizing this fun event. Treasurer s Report: Don s Report showed the club has $1480 in Checking, and $119 in our flower fund. Springtime in the Smokies: The Springtime in the Smokies car show was, as usual, very well organized, members were very impressed. Checks will be presented at a future meeting to our Charities Dream Kitchen and Sunshine Leisure Services. Special thanks need to go out to Pep Boys. The Company attended the show, donated several goodie buckets plus gave a donation of $200.00 towards the Silent Auction. If you shop at the Kingston Pike store, be sure to pass your thanks along to the Manager. We think he enjoyed the day, and hopefully the Company will participate again next year. Morristown European Car Show: There were mixed feelings about this year s show, held for the first time in Downtown Morristown. It was felt that, if this venue is to be used again, then more gaps should be scheduled in the music program so the Mic Maestros aka Jim & John can build up interest in the Silent Auction and walk around the show talking to participants about their cars. Next Meeting: Scheduled for the day after Independence Day, this will take place at Deb Todd s, 1743 El Prado Drive. The Club is provided money for eats, so no need to bring a dish. August Meeting: This will take place on August 2 nd at Le Noir Restaurant, 123 E Broadway Street, Lenoir City. Your Host for the evening will be Larry Benson. Ice Cream Run: As it standard, our August drive will be led by Club President Gary Moss and will wind up at Tic Toc Ice Cream in Loudon. Prior to that, we will start the journey in the parking lot of Target, Northshore. Meet at 10:00, depart at 10.30. We will wend a circuitous route through West Knox County, and into Loudon where we hope to gather for nibbles and tails at Bob Freeman s establishment, followed by a meal before we descend on Tic Tac for our ice cream treats Upcoming events: Information was provided on several upcoming car shows, including Ramsay House, Classic Cars and street market at Rugby, and the next important show for local clubs, the British Car Show at Rugby, hosted by PBCC. Name Tags: Christine and Deb Todd are going to get together and organize re-ordering of name tags. If you want one of these, make sure to let Deb or Christine know. Submitted by John Rigby 2
