France UFO STREET UFOLEP Auvergne Rhône Alpes Rillieux la pape 29/06-01/07 Vols: 4 PROJECT: This event is young person's gathering between 11 and 14 years, stemming from different social environments. They will be gathered around the "urban sports and cultural practices. The purpose is the reduction of the disparities by the sport and the social inclusion. Tasks: Frame of activities and teams Abilities: Dynamism, listening and the enjoyment Contact: davy tracol d.tracol@ufolep-aura.com Tel: 0619736835 Rugby Découverte (Rugby discovery) Planet Citizens - Language Training 2024 Pantin, 93 13/08-17/08 VOL: 1 PROJECT: The project " Rugby Découverte " is an training course of rugby organized from 13 till 17 August within the district of the urban affairs of Courtillières in Pantin. This summer training course, supervised by educators of the Olympic Rugby Pantin (ROP) will gather children schooled in the partner establishments of the ROP, as well as children who frequent the Community center of Courtilières. In the times of practice rugby (workshops of initiation and improvement) will be associated the playful and cultural exits. The internship will so be cut in the 6 half-days of practice of rugby and 4 half-days of activities
extra-rugby. In the program: initiation Golf Orienteering race in Paris and taken out to the leisure center of Jablines. Tasks: The volunteer will participate in the frame of the workshops of initiation and the improvement into the rugby, and into the playful and cultural exits. Activities : beach-soccer, beach-rugby, sandball, homeball, beach-volley, team games, dance... 20 volunteers participate at the event and live together (restoration, accommodation). United Kingdom GO LIVE! at the Green Scottish Sports Futures Glasgow Green - Glasgow, Scotland 3/8/18-5/8/18 VOLS: 4 Project: Between 2 12 August 2018 Europe s top athletes will compete in the inaugural European Championships. The first edition of this exciting new multi-sport event will be held in partnership between Glasgow and Berlin; with Glasgow and Scotland hosting Aquatics, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing, Triathlon and a new team Golf event, while Athletics will be staged in Berlin. GO LIVE! at the Green will be open for all 11 days of the Glasgow 2018 European Championships and will transform Glasgow Green into a unique and innovative destination. Being close to George Square and Merchant City Festival, GO LIVE! at the Green will complement the existing Festival 2018 activity and ensure that a true live city atmosphere is created. GO LIVE! at the Green will be accessible for all and will celebrate the diversity of Glasgow and Scotland. By working with a vast array of like-minded organisations; GO LIVE! at the Green will combine health, fitness, sport and culture to encourage residents, spectators and visitors to lead more active and healthier lives. Blurring the lines between sports development, health & fitness and engagement with the arts, GO LIVE! at the Green will deliver a truly unique experience that capitalises on the opportunity and atmosphere presented by the hosting of a major multi-sport event. For GO LIVE! at the Green to be a success, it will be a destination in its own right and therefore needs to be produced to a high quality and with a programme that will appeal to a broad range of citizens. The venue will offer a wide variety of activity and opportunities so that visitors will feel enthused and motivated to lead more active and fulfilling lives as a direct result of their experience at the Championships.
To ensure that citizens and visitors alike find their moment and be inspired to be more active in their daily lives it is vital that attendees are presented with clear information as to how to get involved with what they have experienced and enjoyed at GO LIVE! at the Green. Tasks: SSF (Scotish Sports Futures) at the green, a range of fun multi-sport physical activity and basketball. SSF will provide pop up multi-sport activities on a designated grassy area, led by volunteers and SSF staff. This will be a mix of free play and more structured games and activities. On the sports court SSF will provide 2 large basketball hoops for the duration of the championships and basketball activity scheduled as part of the sport offering in partnership with Glasgow Sport. SSF will also have staff manning and information table within the Glasgow Sport tent to promote local and regional activity which includes volunteer opportunities. Abilities: Volunteers should be over 18 and will need to provide a criminal records check for working with young people and two references. Good communication skills, enthusiasm and experience of delivering sport activities to young people is essential. Accomodation/ Food: Hotel in Stirling (30 minutes from Glasgow). Meals provided.
