January 20: No School-MLK Holiday January 22: Report Cards SAVE THE DATE December 10 at 6:00pm PTA Meeting Our December meeting will be a special night! Please join us for the annual Holiday Concert from our fantastic SIES chorus, led by Ms. Mathias. Refreshments will start at 5:30pm. No Kaleidoscope since this is a performance night. LOST & FOUND As the weather is cooling, the sweater, jacket and fleece collection is growing in the SIES cafeteria. Dozens of functional fleece and costly clothing items are missing their owners! Items such as Boden sweaters, North Face fleece and other helpful layers are adorning the school shelves instead of the children. Any unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill over the holiday break. Parents, as you very well know, repetitive requests can breed success. Here's a plan to get those sweaters home! 1. Please ask your child, after school today, to check the cafeteria lost and found (during their lunchtime) for any items they recognize (even if they don't recall leaving something at school). 2. Before bed, mention it again and explain how easy it is to check (since the items are in their daily lunchroom). 3. Before school, as your child is departing from the car or getting on the bus, remind them to look in the Lost and Found. 4. Lastly, immediately after school, parents of walkers and car riders can ask if the Lost and Found was checked. If your child forgot, they can pop back inside and look quickly! Please feel free to email Sonya Berle at sberle@comcast.net with any questions or if you need assistance finding particular items.
