ISAI Irish Figure Skating Championships 2016 P-8596357-1
1. The Competition is sanctioned by the Ice Skating Association of Ireland. 2. All entrants MUST be a current member of ISAI. 3. All entrants MUST be eligible skaters as defined by the Ice Skating Association of Ireland. 4. The Competition will be held at the Lee Valley Ice Centre, London on the 13 th and 14 th March 2016. 5. Irish Figure Skating Championships will include the following categories in LADIES and MEN 5.1. Basic Novice B 5.2. Advance Novice 5.3. Juniors 5.4. Seniors 6. All me Technical s for all categories in accordance with current ISU Rules. 7. The ice surface is 60m x 30m, with slightly rounded corners. 8. The entry deadline is 26 th February 2016. Entries maybe accepted by email, however all documentation MUST be forward to the ISAI Office. Late entries will NOT be accepted under any circumstances. 9. The qualifying date for Minimum s is 26 th February 2016. 10. A skater may only compete in one category as per Section 600. 11. All entries must be accompanied by the correct fee: 11.1 Basic Novice B 75.00 11.1 Advance Novice, Junior and Senior 100.00 12. Payment should be made by electronic transfer to ISAI. Please clearly reference payment with competitor s name. No payment will be accepted on site. 13. Skaters will not be allowed to skate if all fees have not been paid. The entry fee is non-refundable. 14. Refunds will only be given under the following conditions: 14.1. A category is not held. 14.2. Withdrawal of an entry is made on or before the official deadline. 15. In all events, Advance Novice, Junior and Senior, the competitors will skate both a Short and Free programme. 16. All entries MUST be submitted on a COMPLETED ENTRY FORM. Entries MUST include a working email address for information to be sent to the competitor. Any incomplete entry forms received will be returned. Entry into the competition will not be accepted until all information is provided and payment made. All entries MUST be submitted with a COMPLETED PLANNED PROGRAMM FORM. 17. The ISAI reserve the right to refuse entry without reason or to cancel a category. The ISAI s Board s decision is final. 18. The ISAI reserve the right to change both competition venue and date should circumstances beyond the ISAI control merit it. The ISAI assumes no responsibility for competitors costs under any circumstances. 19. Music must be on CDs and CLEARLY marked with the competitor s name and the competition entered. me music MUST be the only piece of music on the CD. 20. Music must be turned in at the time of official registration and will not be returned until the conclusion of the event. P-8596357-1 2
21. Once turned in, the ISAI will accept no responsibility for breakage, damage or loss of CDs but will take every precaution to ensure their safety. All competitors must have an extra copy of their CD available during the actual competition. 22. The draw for each event will take place prior to the competition and order of skaters will be posted on the official notice board in the ice rink before the competition. 23. The skate order for Advance Novice, Junior and Senior Free mes will be in reverse order. 24. The official registration desk will be located at rink and attended 30 minutes before the first competitive event. All competitors are required to register as soon as they arrive at the rink. Competition CDs should be turned in at this time. 25. An official bulletin board will be maintained at the competition site. The official schedule showing starting times for each event and the draw will be posted on the bulletin board. The official schedule supersedes all other schedules. Notices posted on this bulletin board are considered as sufficient notice to all competitors. 26. Skaters are to be in the rink and ready to skate 30 minutes before their event is scheduled to begin. Events will not be delayed for skaters who arrive late. 27. No viewing will be permitted from the rink side. All spectators must view from the seated area. 28. All events will be judged under ISU regulations using the IJS system. 29. The highest total score will be 1st, the next highest total score, second and so on. 30. Awards will be presented to 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd. 31. Winners of the Championship Event will be entitled to use the title of Irish Novice / Junior / Senior Champion. 32. Presentations will take place as soon as possible after the last competition. 33. By participating in this ISAI event there is an acceptance that participants consent to being photographed / videoed by an official ISAI photographer for the duration of the event and that these images may be published by the ISAI in appropriate media." 34. No flash photography is allowed during the entire event. All videotaping and photography is restricted to hand-held battery operated equipment, without tripod, and is permissible from the viewing area only. No videotaping or photography from rink side. Please be courteous to others viewing the event. 35. All events will be conducted under the Competition Rules of the ISAI and ISU. 36. By participating in this ISAI Championship there is an acceptance that participants consent and agree to be bound by these rules. 37. This competition is subject to DOPING CONTROL as recommended by the International Olympic Committee and the ISU. 38. It is recommended that all competitors have appropriate insurance cover. 39. ISAI will not be liable for any accidents or damage, howsoever caused, to any competitor or to any official appointed by ISAI arising out of or in connection with the activities of ISAI. Technical s Basic Novice B Basic Novice B Any Must have passed ISAI Basic Novice B Singles Free Test and ISAI FM 1 Must not have passed any ISAI Advance Novice, Junior or Senior Short or Free tests STANDARD FOR SKATERS WHO HAVE NOT REACHED THE AGE OF 15 BEFORE THE 1 ST OF JULY 2015. 3 Minutes (+/- 10 seconds) FREE PROGRAMME Skaters must perform a well-balanced programme with linking steps consisting of A maximum of 5 jump elements for ladies and 6 for men, consisting of 1 Axel type jump element (either solo or in combination or sequence) A maximum of 2 jump combinations or sequences. A combination may consist of only 2 jumps. A jump sequence can contain any number of jumps, but only the 2 most difficult jumps will be counted when using the IJS. Any single or double jump (including double axel) cannot be executed more than twice in total. Only 2 jumps with 2 ½ revolutions or more can be repeated either in a jump combination or jump sequence. There must be a maximum of two (2) spins of a different nature (abbreviation), one of which must be a spin combination and one must be a spin with no change of position. The spin combination can be executed with a change of foot and a minimum of eight (8) revolutions or without a change of foot with a minimum of six (6) revolutions. The spin with no change of position can be executed with a change of foot and a minimum of eight (8) revolutions or without a change of foot and a minimum of six (6) revolutions. In both spins flying entries are allowed. There must be for and for : A maximum of 1 step sequence fully utilising the ice surface. The step will receive level features and will also be evaluated in GOE. Levels explanation: In all elements subject to levels only features up to level 2 will be counted. In sequence the number of jumps is free but only the 2 most difficult jumps will be counted n the technical score Any single or double jump (including a double axel) cannot be executed more than twice in total. A Maximum of 1 step sequence utilising the full ice surface. A maximum of two (2) spins of a different nature, one of which must be a spin combination and one must be a flying spin or a spin with a flying entrance. The spin combination must be executed with a minimum of eight (8) revolutions. Flying entrance is not allowed. The flying spin must have a minimum of six (6) revolutions. If the spin with a flying entrance is selected, the spin must be executed with a change of foot and without a change of position with a minimum of eight (8) revolutions.
