New Deer Management Rules Harper Valley Land Property: In an effort to increase the doe population on the property the following rules will begin this season. Does can only be taken by hunters 16 years old and younger, women shooting their first deer and handicap hunters. Only one does can be taken per year by these hunters. Eh member can take one buck from the Harper Valley Land Property per year. If a member takes a buck off of this property they must have it mounted in a full shoulder mount and bring it to the club the following opening day or pay the club a $3 fine. Trophy Bucks: In an effort to protect young bucks, only bucks that will score a minimum of 1 Boone and Crockett points can be taken. There will be no fine this season for taking a buck that does not measure to this minimum. Button Bucks: The club has had a $5 fine for shooting a button buck for several years. This year there will be an additional fine of $5 for shooting a button buck and not reporting it and paying the $5 fine. Any member who leaves a button buck or any non-legal buck in the woods is subject to dismissal from the club.
