RING 1 Starting at 9.30am CLASS 1 CLASS 2 CLASS 3 CLASS 4 CLASS 5 CLASS 6 BEST TURNED OUT To be judged on the cleanliness and overall appearance of both horse/pony and rider LEAD REIN PONY Not to exceed 12.2hh. Riders 9 years and under. To be judged on suitability as lead rein pony and conformation will not be considered. Lead rein attached to noseband. FIRST RIDDEN Not to exceed 12.2hh. Riders 10 years and under. Snaffle bridles only. To be judged on suitability as a first pony. Riders will not be asked to canter as a group. PONY CLUB PONY Not to exceed 14.2hh. To be judged on suitability to perform all Pony Club activities. Competitors will be asked to jump a small fence. FAMILY HORSE/PONY Not to exceed 15hh. To be judged on suitability to carry child and adult riders. Snaffle bridles only BEST RIDER Riders 14 years and under. Class will be split if sufficient entries, subject to judge s discretion. Competitors will be asked to jump a fence. CLASS 7 PRETTIEST MARE/MOST HANDSOME GELDING CLASS 8 JUNIOR HANDLER Judged on a child s ability to show a pony in hand. 15 minute break CLASS 9 FANCY DRESS
RING 2 Starting at 10 am 10am- 2pm CLEAR ROUND JUMPING (No coloured fillers) Height to follow the show jumping in Ring 4 Not to start before 2pm CLASS 10 HORSE AND HOUND Rider and pony jumps course, hands baton to runner to jump same course. Runner may be over 14. Fastest time with clear round wins. Height approx 45cm RING 3 Starting at 10 am 10am- 12pm HANDY PONY Not to start before 2pm GYMKHANA This will be run on the day. Please purchase tickets on the day ( 1 a race or 5 for 6 races) from the secretary. Rules/races/age groups/price will all be displayed at the secretary's box.

Rules and Conditions of Entry 1. The competition will be run under Pony Club Rules. 2. The decision of the judges and stewards is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition, or to refuse any entry without stating a reason. 3. Objections must be made in writing and handed to the Secretary within 30 minutes of the incident, together with a fee of 10, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 4. No horse or pony under 5 years may be brought to the showground or compete. 5. It is regretted that entry fees can only be refunded after the closing date upon production of a Medical or Veterinary Certificate. In the event of cancellation the entry fees, less the retention of 2 to cover costs will be returned on receipt of a stamped self addressed envelope. 6. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. 7. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards. 8. All competitors must be suitably dressed in correct riding attire. All hats must be tagged and compliant with current PC standards. Hats shall be worn correctly fastened at all times when mounted. Riding / Jodhpur boots must be worn for all classes including Fancy Dress. 9. Pony Club members must have written permission from their DC to wear spurs. 10. Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times.
AWARDS: A mounted presentation will be held for each class as soon as the results are available. Prize winners to present themselves in correct riding dress to receive their awards. Trophies: Keeper Trophies in all classes and perpetual trophies to the highest placed OBH Chilterns member (if in the first six). Rosettes: to 6 th place in all classes. ENTRY FEES: All Classes Horse and Hound /Handy Pony 3.00 5.00 ( 4 for OBH Chilterns members) Entries on the day (numbers permitting) 2 extra per class Clear Round 2.00 (Pay at ringside only on the day) Qualified First Aiders and Caterers will be in attendance.
